Quirk in Long Beach 1981

Hello fellow GP4 gang, I was returning to one of my favorite tracks over the weekend, the older Long Beach circuit, and found this weird quirk in it. When at speed approaching and crossing the start-finish line, my car always seems to always lift throttle when in proximity to an AI competitor unless I have the clear pass on the inside line (near flag man). Has anyone else run into this and/or is there any fix for it?

Is anyone working on the full St Pete or Baltimore street circuits?

Pedro/Jorge and whoever else did the Long Beach circuit did a great job, by the way!
