Hi,

has anyone of you car or track converters ever opened a *.rfcmp-file from rfactor2 successfully!
If so, please tell me how to do...!

Many thanks
Karl

PS: Some more car conversions still to come, maybe even before Christmas ;)

Sorry Ariel, but 3DSimED3 doesn't recognize rfactor2-files :(

Other option could be QuickBMS. I use it to extract .rfcmp files, it´s easy and fast: QuickBMS

It does.

I have been converting old F1 mods for rFactor 2 the past weeks.

I have no idea how to convert rFactor things to GP4 and vice versa, though. Is there a guide somewhere?

#Meteoro405: Thanks, - have now downloaded this last version, which can import rfactor2-files however not if they are in *.rfcmp format :(
#Foreverk: Thanks also - this is the result I got with quickbms: "Error: invalid command "f1?D" or argument in line 1" ?

You can use the MAS2 tool that is found in your rf2 install in the tools folder.
You can extract whatever you want using quickbms, locked or not.
You can't extract rfcmp's, they can be installed and then you can extract content of the installed mas files.

Thanks, Ariel - this is very helpful and I will try it out soon (first I have to install rfactor2 (I)) - for the moment I'm heavily occupied with the conversion of an extremely detailed MAZDA RX-7 IMSA GTO, so I have to use Polygon Cruncher all the time to stay within the 65535 vertices limit...
But anyway, if I can finish this car it should be a rather nice looking one :-)
