Plank wear

Is it possible to turn off plank wear? I know you can stop tyre wear by editing magic data values but I want to stop the game dropping my top speed because a plank corner goes over 1.0
Can it be turned off?
If not any suggestions I can have to getting cars low but Not ruining the plank
