Unfortunately this great tool of Lo2k doesn't work anymore... I've already tried a lot of things but couldn't get it to work again. What could be the problem as Laurent's other tools work fine and the GPI Browser runs perfectly on my wife's laptop...:-o

I already did this (had the problem several years before...) but this time - no result so far!
There must be something which disturbs the program...
On my wife's laptop I downloaded GPI Browser, then I was asked what GP4.exe should be used... on my computer I wasn't even asked as the program apparently decided by itself, hm?

Use CCleaner for a proper clean up.

I just ran CCleaner - the good thing is - my system is a lot faster now - the bad news: GPI Browser is still dead - I get the following message: 'Exception EInOutError dans le module GPI Browser 1.2 .exe dans 000A31E2. Nom de fichier incorrect'
So what to do now? :(

Yo get the message when you start up the program? Replace the GP4.exe with the original GP4.exe?

I have some idea (I): Actually I run GP4 under Program Files directory... should I use another place to run it? Could that eventually be the problem?

Program Files at C:\? Maybe you can copy the game to another partition.

If you have Teamviewer I can take a look on your computer for better support.

Have you tried replacing your GP2001.gph file with the original? Whenever I have issues with Gpi Browser, this is what I do and everything works again.

Big thanks to Jürgen, Ruben and Glenn!
I put the game into another (non program) folder, replaced the GP2001.gph file, stopped breathing for a while ;) and... now it works fine! (Y)(B)

Yeah, but when you point GPI Browser 1.2 to the GP4.exe of the original install and replace GP2001.gph of the original install, does this work also?

@Turbo, it should work fine in c:\program files\infogrames\gp4. I've had my gp4 installed there since 2002 and across several operating systems.
