ATX Sequence Builder Action

1.Create a folder on your C: drive called "flags".

2.Place the 10 frames you want to import into the folder and rename them to flag001.tga to flag010.tga. (I use Better File Renamer for this)
TGA's need to have an alpha channel for transparency.

3.You need to match the selection in PS to the size of the image you are importing, eg: if your image is 256 x 512 your selection needs to be the same.
I recommend using fixed size for the selection.
The template is 2048 x 2048 so set up the grid in photoshop to every 256 pixels with 2 subdivisions to make selection easy.
Agip Template.psd is ready to roll with 10 alpha channels for transparency, without these the action won't work.

Before you run the action you need to record the selection, so delete the "Set Selection" step and re-record it each time you want to import.(see video)

If the template is empty, run "Open san_agip Sequence 1", if it already contains animations then run "Open san_agip Sequence's 2 to 10".
It's buggy for some reason, I haven't worked out why, but running the second action fixes it.
Frames are imported with alpha layers and placed into the template.
If you mess up at any time use the clear action to reset the template.

Sit back and watch it do all the hard work for you

"Export san_agip Sequence" exports the 10 compiled frames into the "flags" folder with alpha layers and names them correctly, atx_san_agipflag001 thru to atx_san_agipflag010, all you need to do is drop them into your track folder and convert.

The export procedure can be used to pull pieces out of frame sequences by simply cropping the image to your selection and exporting the frames, and of course can be used for the 6 frame atx sequences too.

When you save the template remember to check the "Save Alpha Channels" box or all your hard work will be lost.

Hmmm, judging by the amount of pm's I'm getting, maybe I need to do a second pack, BigBrother was right , obviously I can't cover all the flag requirements with 32 slots.

Do you guys think this resolution is acceptable?

I'm fitting 32 flags onto one 1024 x 1024 texture. each flag is 256 x 128, I just think 128 x 64 will be too small and look crap in game although you could fit 64 flags onto one texture.

I could easily create 2 sets, with 64 slots.

Also it annoys me that all the flags have the same animation, so I'm doing them again but this time with at least 8 different types of animation per set (no 2 flags move the same in the wind), which should look better when the flags are in a line , like on most tracks.

Anyway if you want a flag there are now 28 more slots available, 4 slots taken.

what can i do with this flags? i have never seen a contryflag in gp4

Replace any atx flag sequence. this one uses atx_san_agipflag, which it 10 frames long.
