GP4 won't run after windows update [SOLVED]

Here we are again as usual windows 10 updates bring nothing but troubles.
I have installed last update yesterday 1803 and after few attempts I managed to get everything working apart from gp4.
When I lunch the game with gpxpatch the game crashes straight away even before entering the main menu.
Thanks to Rene he identified that the error I get in the gpx patch log says that the memory got corrupted,has any of you had this problem?or is any of you guys running the game on windows 1803 version and could point me out to a solution please?
I reinstalled the game and the mod too this morning but I still get the same error.
Help please ☹️

Getting desperate now guys ☹️ after few test I found out that the issue might be csm,as the game is starting from the normal executive and if I lunch it with gpxpatch but csm keep crashing even before entering the menu

i run windows 10 and had the update so i thought i would check and runs as normal
i suggest you look elsewhere for your issue

Wow that took some doing but I finally got it working again,so basically after re installing the mod 2006 the one that I base all mods on every year and tested each folder one by one I got the game up and running again,the crash was caused by the file gpxlap.ini located in the mod gpxpdata folder,as soon as I put the file from my 2018 back up mod the game crashes so now I left it with the original file from the mod 2006 and is working fine.
I wonder if the file got corrupted by windows update anyway if Renè wants to investigate I will keep the file on my pc for a while let me know Rene

Be careful guys when doing a clean install of Version 1803. It will give you trouble with updating GP with Patch 9.6 since Securom Support has been removed in this version. If you want to update your game you need to save the files that have been replaced with Patch 1.02 so you can copy them into the specific folders of the game.

I can't see much difference except perhaps LogUniqueID=1 in the broken one. Try setting it to 0

Thanks,I tried but as soon as you change a value in the gpxlap.ini file the game crashes that's why I think the windows update might have corrupted the file if that is possible,really strange problem anyway

Yes i have the same problem i can't get it to run, tried reinstall but no good

Last resort i have taken off 1803 altogether and now it works fine.

Not a long term solution but what now?

Anybody any ideas.

No issues here with update 1803. Non-CSM mods only.

If you get my same error download my file that I uploaded in this thread and try to place it in the gpxpatch folder
