My pedals are inverted for some reason, but for rFactor/SCE/Assetto Corsa it mostly solves itself(in AC I do need to tick the 'Invert' boxes, but that's it), but in GP4, the pedals are un-usable because of this inversion.

Has anyone else managed to get these pedals working in the game? They worked fine before combined with a Fanatec Forza wheel, but I am guessing it was as a result of the pedals being plugged in directly to the wheel via PS2 plug, which may have done some different things to the pedals via the driver.

I should add that the pedals in the driver screen does not indicate this inversion, but AC and GP4 are the 2 games which(due to their logic it seems) do indicate these axes as inverted. Unfortunately, this isn't catered for in GP4, as you could expect due to the age of the game.

But I really want to play GP4 again, so any advice would be appreciated.

I tried reversing the axes via AntiMicro, by using the Negative settings, but it isn't functioning as desired.

Giving this a bump. Really hope someone else managed to get CSR V1 pedals to work successfully with GP4.

Another bump. I really want to play this with wheel and pedals again.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar in any way with those, but I'd suggest having a look at Pinnacle Game Profiler.

It allows you to do a bunch of stuff, including overriding any axis assignment the game or driver may place on controls.
I believe that, with this, you might be able to do what you're after; Assign 'Y' to one pedal, 'Z' to another etc. and this might allow you to fix the inversion.

There was an update of the Thrustmaster's drivers (in october if I recall correctly), did you apply it ? Could solve your issue.

Thanks. I will try this tool. X360 and AntiMicro didn't help, maybe this will. :)

Thanks for your assistance too man. Unfortunately it's a Fanatec pedal set though. :/ But I'm using the latest drivers for my TM wheel regardless.

I can't help you on Fanatec unfortunately, but maybe you should change the name in the title as it's an issue with the pedals (Fanatec) and not the wheel (Thrustmaster).
This would bring you some help from people with a Fanatec set.

:D

You're right, thanks for pointing that out. :P

Fixed the title, no luck with Pinnacle Game profiler either I'm afraid. :/

EDIT: Tried old drivers - the last available ones for 64 bit on the CSR Elite page(144) as opposed to the very latest ones, still not helping.

It's weird because rFactor 1 and 2 both automatically invert it, Assetto Corsa doesn't but you can manually invert it, just Grand Prix 4 I can't get it working, which is ironically the one I want to play most at the moment.

So I got Fanatec Clubsport V2's as an upgrade now, and I was hoping this issue would be solved now... but it isn't. Pedal axes are still inverted.

Does this mean that basically nobody with Fanatec pedals are able to play Grand Prix 4? :-o

It makes me sad because it's still my favorite game. :(

Oh well. Thanks for everyone's inputs then. It's clear this is impossible.

So let me understand this...
You can connect your pedals to your PC via USB, so GP4 reads the pedals but the problem you are having is that they are inverted?

I have fanatec V1 pedals and I can play any game (AC, AMS, race 07, GT legends) with my pedals connected to PC via USB without changing anything.

GP4 however doesn't recognise my pedals when I plug them via USB so I just connect them to the wheel via PS2 cable.

Yes, they are detected but inverted.

It works in all other games - it also shows up as inverted in Assetto Corsa, but in that game you can invert the pedal axes.

I can't connect them to my wheel due to it being a Thrustmaster wheel.

In Assetto Corsa my v1 pedals are fine, not inverted. Maybe your v2s are faulty...?

Nope. CSR Elites and V2's both do the same thing, others have the same issue.

Anyway, upgraded to V3's now and it works, so all good.
