GPGSL Poll - How many races for S11?

Dear GPGSL participants,

to get the plans for S11 started early and hopefully manage to make a majority of participants happy, let's start with this poll. How many races shall we drive in GPGSL S11?

Please note this: Only ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS (drivers and team owners) FOR S11 are allowed to vote! And ONLY ONE VOTE per person!

17 races, same as GP4 original calendar. Maybe unpopular opinion but I reckon that the fact this season took so long was somewhat a series of misfortunes. I think we can tackle 17, if we sort out the track files well in advance, for example. Maybe create a TSM file. Ok sorry about that, this should only be about the vote, then 17 races it is.

honestly I'd have chosen 12, not as low as 10 but not too high either. A bit curious I didn't have a say in this as a board member.

GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!

Tough choice.... 10 is just too few races for a season. 14 seems ok too.... 17 is preferred, but as Carlitox said, perhaps we need to make sure we have a TSM ready to go, for any aspiring RD's to use asap perf's are available - if time is an issue to create the TSM, have the calendar use "known safe tracks" early in the season, to get things running early.....

Maybe a wild/silly/pointless idea, but perhaps a condition of being a team owner, you MUST commit to RD'ing at least 1 race weekend. Put some work in to keep the series running, instead of sitting back and watching.... I am ok with this idea!

So, my official vote - 17.

17 races so I think this should be a good idea.

I'd be happy to go with 18 again (especially with using Ruben's track as the final round, that race was electric!) - we've had 17 for a long time and under normal circumstances it hasn't been an issue. This season had problem after problem, and I imagine with more availability to stream rather than post pictures or highlight reels, we can actually run race weekends rather than races across several weeks (I'll see if I can fire up a twitch account myself to use and/or help Connor again) - setting an actual calendar to run (potentially alongside or after race weekends on F1) with streams and youtube videos could potentially make it viable.

My only issue with this is that I'm sure there are some team owners for whom this is impossible.
I know that if I, for example, were a team owner, I'd be unable to do this unless the coverage was picture only.

The thing is, the more options, the more opinions you get and the less it's gonna be a 'majority'. In fact, I didn't approach any other board member with this since we basically agreed in the thread already to collect opinions about several things. But we can't always push things to 'later', especially not since there's a hell lot to decide in this postseason and we have to start somewhere. The number of races is a big priority cause this needs to be set before we can start a track vote and this needs to be done before we can start with a track pack. This again is one of the big and time consuming things to be done, so it needs to be started early. Hence the rush here.
The reason why I gave those four options are: 17 are the number of races we had for years. 18 was last season. 10 was supposed a couple of times in the discussion a while ago. And 14 is in the middle of all this. Whether it's 12 or 14 doesn't make much of a difference, so I figured this was a logical given.

Also, generally speaking, please keep this only to the number of races for now, so that we can tackle one thing after another. We already agreed that we'll have a look into possible boost system changes during postseason testing, so it is on the list.
