how to convert trd tracks to gp4

after some hard work & effort by me & many tracks later, i've decided to take a long break from gp4 & trackediting...so i've put this simple guide together to aid anyone that might like to convert trd tracks to gp4....

very true..the price is £20.00..imo this is money well spent if you serious about these conversions..updates are available also....i didn't mind buying these even though it made me appreciate 3d editor even more..

Is TrkMaker a useful tool ?? i didn't use it for these conversions only 3dSimEd.

Great tool, mate.

We are so thankful for all your dedication to this great game. Despite all stress and time consuming that trackmaking always come with...

But people like you, Laurent, Zeppelin, Tony, and many others...

I wish I could have time enough to work at my tracks... But personal life claims louder everytime. Indeed, I prefer to realize that if we could do each day a little part, a big work would come at the end.

Wow, I just checked if the TRD 3 tracks are real and they are! Apparently, Codies created them using GPS data, just like GP4, so count me in in downloads, if anybody converts some of them.

EDIT: Well, not all of them are accurate, looking at gameplay videos. Brands Hatch is a big no-no, for example, it's too wide and shows the pre-1999 Graham Hill Bend with the post-2003 Sheene's curve.

Yep, there are only a few tracks (like Brands Hatch) that are wrong in a big way; most of the rest are either GPS accurate or are (visually) quite close.
I re-installed TRD3 just the other day - I missed driving the Formula 3 cars - and had forgotten how good some of the tracks were.

Depending on how involved the process is, my first attempt at a conversion will be Snetterton, followed by Barbagello.
I started both of those tracks from scratch last year, but lost them both in a hard drive crash and didn't have the motivation to start again.

Yeah, I remember Barbagallo. They could be good - Phillip Island seemed to be good too, layout-wise (not too wide), although the elevation seemed a bit dull. (I expected the drop near the end of the lap to be much more drastic.)

I also kept that in mind, but I really don't understand this tutorial just by pictures .
