I'm using GP4 Carset Creater to import the liverys, and WAD Updater for the carshape. I can either have the carshape working fine, but plain white, or I can have the original GP4 Jaguar carshape with the new livery all messed up on it.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

well i heard something like this lately from someone who used my Renault.

It's a mistake by WAD Updater it puts the skins on a wrong folder, which causes the blank car in game.

unpack your cars wad with GP4 Master, unzip all the needed files from the Jaguar in your cars wad, pack the wad again. Then copy it back in your GP4 Folder and all should be ok.

Dont laugh about newbie`s. ;)

GP4Master only works with v1.00 encrypted gp4.exe. So do following. Download TeT`s GP4Patcher. Its a tool that patches tool`s which are only working with v1.00 enc. exe files.

If you patched gp4master with that tool, you can use it with v1.2 gp4 enc. exe file.

Now its easy to use gp4master.

Open it, go to 3rd part of tool (the wad tool). Open the cars.wad file and extract it to a folder. Then put the new files in .../cars/ folder.

After that go to 3rd part of gp4master again (the wad tool) and go to "create wad from folder".

Then insert your extracted cars wad folder and insert the new cars.wad file.

For example (on my pc)

e:\cars
e:\cars.wad

Simple but hard to describe.

thanks to the great explanation from mike.
usualy i make my updatates with wad updater and get my cars to work.
but the gp4 master is the safest way, i think.

the carshape needs the livery with the name jaguar03_x.tex
so i don´t know if you renamed the livery.
take the files out of the zip and don´t rename them.
maybe this is your problem.
