Do you use Keyboard or a Steering Wheel?

You have to have traction control on, otherwise you will spin the wheels.

When are you having the wheelspin? At the start or all the time? I'm a keyboard racer so I may be able to help. Are you using launch control off the line?

You're not doing it right :)

I think you mean you are locking the tyres?

Ah ok, well this is a problem in general, personally I just try to be neater into the corners. Maybe adjusting the brake balance towards the rear will help but not much. Someone else will have to give us the secret here.

there is no way around it for keyboard. It's because you either have 100% or nothing on the brake. In reality, you hit it as hard as you can to begin with, then you come off it as you get closer to the corner (to avoid locking brakes). You can't do that with the keyboard, you just have to tap very quickly on entry, but you will never get rid of the locking.

Yeah I have the same thing. Over the course of GP2, GP3 and now GP4 I've developed a style of braking hard to start with and then quickly taping as I get closer to the corner. Even still I get lockup. The main thing is to not be doing the main part of your turn-in when you are braking otherwise you'll lock and understeer wide. It's also easier with cars/mods with more grip than with less.

ok but is it possible to decrease this by changing your set up of the car?

I've tried with moving the brake bias to almost completely to the rear, but it makes little difference, except making braking worse and making you spin

so we probably have to live with it?(N)

I usually modify my physics files to minimize this problem when playing with keyboard...it works fine with more recent seasons because the braking power is so high nowadays, but I still have some lock-up issues from time to time with older mods (seasons).
