Given you're being successful (so far) with Debian, would it be as well with Debian based OS, like Ubuntu, Mint or Zorin?

I suppose yes, as I uploaded the same packages I used. Please test it installing in your system, and report the results! I tried to make it as straighforward as I could .
Need feedback feom users instaling it to improve the instructions!

I just uploaded it.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Ric-o

The cockpit model was done from blueprints and photo references , here is a pic showing the photomatching comparison (early shot)

They look so realistic, a shame it can't be produced in-game with GP4.

Yes, GP4's renderer totally stinks and ruins it all. I wish somehow it run under Unreal Engine, idk if and how it could be done.

Stunning piece of art, the dark blue and white Brabham is a classic like the black and gold Lotus.
Hopefully you will create the whole -87 grid.

New helmet, driver body, head/face, belts
Will create Lod 0-4 for everything
Tyre lods are ready
Cars are lightweight (around 12k, complete - Lod0)

Im flying while I can
Ric-o

PS
While modelling it, I couldnt help thinking "wow such beautiful lines, looks like a monohull powerboat"
[drive.google.com]

PS2 dont mind the not exact-era texture details, its a WIP, I was getting the thin blue lines correct. The Iceberg tri-lines are being done. Yes I know the rearwing is blue, will change that; yep the bottom white line does not go until the noise tip; already in the works.. haha

This week I honored the great heroes of the past
I worked fevereshly to get the results I posted.
The helmets are really hard to texture the way I think they should! Piquet took me to dance.
Mansell is my favorite, isn't he and his helmet fab??? The Labatt's decal isn't there, because I first wanted to have the flowing curves right (in my decadent taste), no shortcuts - the Labatt's logo take away that S curve in the motiff.
Ayrton - he is really something isnt he?
I get an eerie feeling because he seems to be looking hard at me, kinda angry or upset. Did I do something wrong? I tell him I do all this with great respect.
I learnt that Piquet is actually a nice guy, always joking, making fun of everything. He became kinda bitter after 87 for understandable reasons.
I learnt about Alain Prost in the last years too, but that is for another post.

Take care,
Hope yall like it

PS I am a bit scared of the 3D Ayrton, maybe I should take a break.

After a good night sleep, It dawned on me 15 min ago why Ayrton was upset:
Who, among all, deserved a proper face the most? His face was being applied in a generic (that I created from scratch) model.

Therefore, I am modeling the driver's face from Ayrton's !!!
The other drivers will forgive me I know.

I just posted a screenshot of maybe the nicest addition I could think of.
I will devote myself to the best I can and hope you all like it.

All the best,
Ric-o

Completed : (alphabetical order)
> Berger
> Mansell
> Piquet
> Prost
> Senna

(pics of the Senna's 3D (full face/head) also)!! check the screenshots

[drive.google.com]

PS - I adhere to the principles stated in the .txt file in the drive - the goal is to have a fluid, lightweight mod which does not tax the CPU
(e.g. helmet/face texture is a single 1024x512k; the 3D helmet won't sport 3d details as comm cables, visor bevels, etc.)
