I first encountered Grand Prix 4 in 2024, playing it on a cardboard PC. That PC died, and now I have a new one.
Seeing that the Formula 1 race dates were approaching, I decided to get back into racing simulators and installed Grand Prix 4 on my new PC. Here's the problem. At the beginning of the race, the game feels like it's slowing down, and on top of that, it runs at very low FPS with everything maxed out, which I find ridiculous; it's a game from 2002! My components are:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with integrated graphics
- Integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics
- 16GB of RAM
- Windows 11
And if you're wondering, yes, I open it with GPxPatch and set everything in f1graphics to my monitor resolution (Which also doesn't work), VSync enabled, 32-bit graphics and it still works terribly. And it's a pain in the ass, since it's the only game I've seen that has the HUDs for each year of Formula 1 in its mods without having to set them manually (like in Automovilista, rFactor, Assetto Corsa, etc.), in fact, the errors that rfDynHUD gives me were the reason why I decided to try to solve this performance problem with GP4, but I don't know what to do anymore. If you can help me with this, I'd be grateful.
Greetings from Argentina.
