The Birmingham for rFactor is in US of A. But there is no Birmingham for Gp4. although could check for F1C if you have *shivers*

It was a wicked track though! The GP2/GP3 track was the correct layout, but extremely sparse in terms of any trackside objects.

The only birmingham race track I know about it this:

And even that, I haven't actually been there - just seen it while going past on the train, haha.

Some AWESOME videos there :) The BTCC race looked fantastic actually - Halford's Elbow really left absolutely no margin for error, like the piscine complex at Monaco. I never realised that from being at the track when the cars weren't racing.

ok i found it, im going to make a start on making the track. but it will be flat for now untill i go into brum next and ill see if theres much elevation change. i dont think there is much, just bristol road is slightly uphill i think.

in 3Deditor how to you put a picture in the backgroud. ive seen someone do it with jerez i think. they put a picture of the track in the background and then designed the track over it. anybody know please? =)

I had posted a photo with the coordinates in the last post... the link to the image is fixed now.

Well, I used Google Earth pictures to make Jerez, I'll explain how I did it. First, in Google Earth, I disabled terrain elevations and went closer until eye altitude was 200 m. Then I saved lots of photos (40 I think) from this altitude from all parts of track, and put them all together in a huge 4096x4096 image. Then I opened at 3dEditor montreal2001.gp4 and s1ct08.dat, removed all the objects from the .gp4 and added an horizontal surface, with 635 meters on both X and Y axis. Then I started making the track from it.

It may take a while to load a texture that big, but the proportions I used were very accurate, and the track map had still a fairly high resolution to work on, so I got a perfect (flat) layout.
