curious quicksave bug

When I run a Wet Race and have an incident and need to get back using Quicksave, the rain is gone, which completely sucks.
Any ideas is to how this can be fixed? I should mention this started after I installed ZAZTools1.27b.

I should also mention that the game freezers on replay, and the only thing to do is restart the computer.
