Hi guys, it's MSchumi who speaks to you!
Today, with Duffer's permission, I release the final version of his 1998 Mod, I thank him for the honor he has granted me!
It is a "lite" version, with a structure based on the mods of GP4 Central.

The only circuit that's missing on original GP4 is Buenos Aires but it's released in three versions [docs.google.com] Many many thanks again MSchumi24, it's too great !!!

This is a magnificent piece of art this mod! Loving it just like all the others presented by MSchumi24.

In case this hasn't been thought of before, I think including the F1 98 (PS1) main menu music when you're in this mod's menu, should be included in a future update. The music was by far the best and probably only good thing about F1 98 and it'd be really cool if this was included. Similar to how the 2010 mod features the Codies F1 2010 soundtracks.

About menu music, post as well here, so those who want to use them can easily insert them into the mod! In mp3 format, I recommend!

The quality on this is excellent. The cars are very highly detailed. The only niggle I'd say is that when the car hits the wall with the right-hand side, the left wheel comes off. Also missing the non-tobacco liveries and 'x-wing' cars, but I'm guessing since those have been made that a 98 patch with them shouldn't be 'too' far away?

For this mod there are no further updates except for steering wheels but if you want track specific shape and liveries stay tuned!

Reading the credits, does the mod have the 1998 tyres by Hega?

Hello.

I just wanted to write a quick feed back / review of this mod after testing it for some time.

I have to say, I am really impressed how good this really turned out. I mean, getting on the podium with Ferrari on ace difficulty is already a challenge for me. Even on monaco where I basically know the track inside out. So I am very happy that I finally feel challenged in a mod other than 1993 against the Williams with the McLaren of Ayrton Senna.

Now I did encounter some weird bugs / encounters. Sometimes, when I bang into a wall or into another driver, both the front tires will come off and the front wing will stay in place. Except if it is a crash with full force. I am talking about a small bump into another car or into a wall. And it also happens with the front wing. Sometimes both come off after a very minor touching or both will stay on after driving into another drivers back with full force.

Anyway, those were just some things that I noted whem playing the mod. But other than that, I am very happy that we finally have a fullfledged 1998 mod with almost perfect performence files and planning on starting a championship on this mod.
