This year, this game turns 20th years...

And what a community who still sustains this game with all support, besides of game being abandonware...

This is a nice tool for newbies who wants to play this game on modern pcs...

Hi, this looks incredible so far, well done.

I have a problem, during the installation I have the same problem as jojo42, it says "Setup needs the next disk, Please insert disk 2 that contains the file Léeme.txt (for the é it is a question mark in a diamond)

The preset path is the GP4 in the disk drive of the GP4 installer. That is also where the Léeme.txt is located, when I click OK it says:
"Setup could not find a file on the specificed path or disk. Please check that the proper disk is inserted or specify a new path.

Any help with this? Thanks in advance.

Wow mate, thank you. I am using the unmodded game now, but when I finish the championship that I am racing actually will use it.

Hi Carl and everyone else,

I used your installer and everything went great except for the GPx 4.52. I get repeated dll error messages upon installation. I probably missed something, but at this point I can't figure out what is wrong. Any ideas?

I have the same problem as maxette, the installer can't find "leeme.txt"... idk why.. The installer has bugs with á, é, í, ó, ú... Any solution? Windows 10.

Unfortunately i can't recreate this error. Is your system language Spanish? Does it work with the original GP4 CD?
Can you try what happens if you copy all files from the installer to your harddisk and start it from there (rather than from the iso)?
I wonder where the error comes from since i didn't change anything on the original GP4 setup. The installer is basically a GUI only.

edit: on my system the file name seems to be correct:

Well my system language is originally Spanish but I use the English.. (Settings/Time&Language/Language/Windows display language/English (US)

I tried, but the same thing happened.

Yeah the GUI doesn't matter in this error.

The installer and the .txt itself have problems with the vowels accents, and the installer doesn't use the other .txts, I put the Italian language and it always needs Leeme.txt

.net framework is already installed

edit: now fixed, when you have not installed any .net framework it mentions the exact version, namely v6.0.1x

yes, you need the latest version. i used net 6 to make sure the installer will also work on future operating systems.

Sorry but i dont understand how must i do to install this version..
What are the step please one by one...thanks a lot...

I´ve installed a new version in a second Drive ( d with Carl´s installer but when i run Zaz Tools the app will only find the original GP4 that i´ve twicked and transformed along the years. I would like to maintain both versions of the exe.

Can´t we indicate the new path where the the new exe is found to Zaz Tools and Gpxpatch?

Hello, for the second time I can't run GP4 on WIN11, installation done by the installer (https://www.grandprixgames.org/read.php?4,1156768) without any problem, but when I go to install a mod nothing appears, then after a few minutes I click anywhere and the message GP4 appears (not responding) thanks for any help.

Make sure your system locale is English. This can be found in Windows Control Panel/Region/Administrative/Language for non-Unicode programs.
