Did anybody else experience the locked speed limit? What was their solution?

hy guys,

i am only having a CTD with this mod (all others work normal) when loading a track GP4 crashes after the loading bar has started to fill...

before the starting grid isnt displayed correct and also the wheater info.


i include the log: [en.webshare.cz]gpxpload.txt

Set the Team art resolution in standard and all will displayed well.
I was unable to download the gpxupload, here works well but I know that other members have faced errors with the MOD and I just don't know why and how to sort the issues out.

for me downloading gpxload.txt works by clicking directly the green "Download file(73.67 kB)" button.

i tried Team art standard setting, but sadly doesnt change something.

Please read the first post.
This MOD was initially an update from a previous 1988 MOD, and when I decided to make a bigger improvement, I used the 1993 MOD released by mschumi 24 as the base. probably, there are some incompatibilities here and there.
It was not tested properly, and bugs were expected; I hoped other Grandprixgames community members could help sort them out.
I don't know if it is worth it, but maybe in the future, I will remake everything again, but at this moment, I don't have time to do it.
Here all works well and because of that I don't know how to help those in trouble with the MOD.

i found an older version of the mod that is also crashing, so it has nothing to do with your work @rracunis

what i don't understand is that it's the only CSM mod which is crashing during loading on my system... i have installed nearly every season up to 2005 - V10 goodbye ;)

I have the same issue. I am semi-pro but no driving helps at all.

Ok after this test:

I chose Monza but I found myself in Hockenheim (!)
Car was stuck at 100 kmph from 2nd gear and on no way to increase speed, as if there's a kind of revs limiter (semipro level)
At half lap game crashed with the statement "gplpatch closed to leave more memory space"

the 1988 mod had a bug that closed on its own with me, I changed the cockpit and it solved it, but in detail I increased the memory of gp4.exe to more than 2gb

What do ypu mean to change the cockpit?
About GP4.exe memory do you mean to apply the 4GB patch?
I used it but CSM at that point said that GP4 was not original...

I had the possibility to run a pre installed version of GP4 patched that comes from another user.
I run it with GPxPatch.
No way, after sometimes in the cockpit GP4 crashes with this error message from GPxPatch "GPxPatch has been closed to free enough memory space".
The same error I get with mine.
At this point I suppose that is GPxPatch that has some problem

Also with this one for the few I run, in 2nd gear I can't go over 1/4 revs and car was stuck at 160 kph.

Sigh!

To disable the visor in the mod, go to the folder:

Look for the file gp4tweak.ini in main gp4 directory

Change the following line

CustomVisor = 0 ; enable/disable custom helmet visor textures.

Concerning the mod it's working well but sometimes it crash but not so frequently as before.

I am remaking the MOD and sending it to those who are experiencing issues for testing purposes.
As I mentioned in the PM sent to you, you have likely identified the problem, which is related to the speed in the pit, set at 160 km/h. Delete the file speedlimit.tex from the gp4tweak_data folder, and in the gp4tweak file, disable the pitlimiter tweak, setting it to 0.
It should work.
