GP4DB.com down

Anyone knows why gp4db.com is down at the moment? 403 Forbidden error if you try to reach the home page.

I mean you are right.

Let's hope it's temporary, I don't even want to think that ...

Has been so in the past quite some times, so wouldn't be worried much

That sucks. I just wanted to download Renault R24 textures for a handcraft project, now I cannot do!

I have downloaded 2004 CSM Mod from GP4 Central, I will get the textures from there. I wonder why I didn't have this idea already yesterday.

Great, thank you! Now I don't have to load and open the 2004 cars.wad and search for the right textures. Thank you very much!

Hey, you've said you have most of GP4DB.com files on your discs available. What do you think about making a telegram channel where you could upload the stuff? I think that there is a 2GB limit which seems to be fine for most of the GP4 files...

Honestly, I don't use social media, I don't even know what telegram is ...
Anyway maybe I will renew MediaFire, so I will try to upload the GP4DB files there, calmly though!

It installs in 2 clicks and I (or anyone else) can make a channel for all gp4 stuff to be published in one place (except if Jorge Caranti doesn't want to publish his works with the others or smthing like that). I'm an active telegram user since 2018 but I dont have any gp4 files on my drives cos I dont play this game at all nowadays, but still it can be pretty much easy to organize downloading stuff from there. Just a thought. I think I'll make a message at the front page for people to discuss about it...

Does anyone still has the 2001 trackpack by Rircardo Lampert? It was on gp4db.com.

I don't think using a social media to store data is a good idea.

I currently use it instead of cloud storage, because it is free and has no limits (excerpt that the every separate file should be less than 2GB) and have no problems with it. Three of my closest friends to whom I can trust are admins on my private channel (120GB+ in total of all my stuff like photos, music, text files and so on) and they can resign me if I potentially lose my current account (f.e. if my phone gets stolen etc).

TG is owned by Pavel Durov who had created Vkontakte (Russian Facebook alternative) originally and then was forced to sell it to FSB-affilated structures in 2014 or so, so he had left Russia and created this alternative mainly to create an independent application for chats, talks and so on. TG is free and Russian government tried to block it in 2018 but failed because it uses proxy-servers integrated in it. Right now it gets popular during the Ru/Ukr clash exactly because the level of freedom is much more over there and it is harder to block channels/groups/chats over there.

Anyway, people expressed almost zero interest in me creating a TG channel for all the downloads at one place in my main topic, except Jorge Caranti. So, better for me, since I'm not playing this game at all and have no plans to do it in the future and the only reason for me raising this was the fact that I have lots of free time and was worried that major sites get unavailable and people like Jurgen (quickslick) also had their archives damaged or deleted. I cannot work bec I have a disability group that forbids me to work, so all my time is free and spending 1-2 months on checking these and some other forums for all the stuff seemed no problem for me, but again - if nobody needs it, the better for me and I'll spend it on doing all my other random minor activities, I'm totally fine with it
