Worst day for us sadly. Nick was running such a good race until that issue happened on him and Felipe with an unlucky spin. A race to forget no doubt at all.

Spyker

We've looked poor in the race. Both of our drivers haven't had an easy path today including Andre who sadly collided with a spinning Ferrari. It wasn't a pleasant race, but it'll be better next time.

Toyota

Such a shame to see Jenson lose the win but a great race for the team overall.

Red Bull

A good day for Ammermüller, surprising performance by him. We should do good in qualifying.

Toro Rosso

Decent times by Nico, but let’s see if we’ll qualify higher than 20th.

Good lap time from Nick. Qualifying will be fine for us, but it'll be tough to fight so hopefully we get a good one here.

Spyker

The pace from Anthony is decent which is good news for us. We might be scrapping inside or outside top 10 positions. Let's hope for a great qualifying.

Very close qualifying, though we aren't happy with our results at the moment. We might brace for another disappointing race if we aren't careful here. Let's hope for a good result.

Spyker

Andre did a wonderful job out there. Timo seems a bit off somehow but we reckon it'll be difficult to go for points here, depending on how our race pace goes against the others. We'll see how we fare tomorrow.

Solid effort by Kimi, we hope to see him fighting for the win. Not an ideal session for Kamui, though.

Toro Rosso

It will be ideal for us to have both cars finish the race.

Both cars in the top 4 - fingers crossed race day is better than last time out

JV still on the precipice here, points are the minimum at his home GP.

One word.

Another bad qualifying. Just need to hope that we will be in the points after the race. Looks like i need to be more active here also. ;)
2006 Canadian Grand Prix

Hello and welcome to the 2006 Canadian Grand Prix. Takuma Sato took pole but will he make it 4 wins in a row? Let's find out.

Lap 1/70

It's lights out and away we go.

Sato keeps the lead and it's as you were at the front of the pack.

Lap 2/70

The order after the first lap. Looks like Heidfeld has passed Lotterer.

Lap 3/70

Not much to report so far. Kovalainen was the biggest loser at the start.

Lap 7/70

Ralf Schumacher is in the wall!

A transmission issue seems to be the cause.

Lap 10/70

Trulli makes a mistake going into the last corner.

He loses three places as a result.

Lap 13/70

Sato is in a league of his own so far today.

Lap 16/70

Some great racing at the back as Vettel dives down the inside of Kovalainen.

Lap 20/70

A look at the order after 20 laps.

Scrap that, looks like Heidfeld is out.

A suspension failure put him in the wall.

Lap 27/70

Problems for Rosberg. Is that another suspension failure?

Lap 28/70

Di Resta runs into back of him. Clumsy from the Brit.

It was a transmission failure for Rosberg. Another piece of rotten luck for him.

Lap 29/70

Di Resta collides with the race leader Sato whilst coming out of the pits.

He's in the wall and out of the race.

Raikkonen jumped Button in the stops!

Another one in the wall! It's Alonso.

Transmission failure for the Spaniard. Not a great race for transmissions today!

Lap 35/70

Here's the order at half distance.

Lap 43/70

Raikkonen is right behind Montoya in 2nd. Can he make a rare overtake?

Lap 47/70

Raikkonen is in, can he put in some quick laps on new tyres to take 2nd?

Lap 50/70

In comes Montoya, has Raikkonen done enough?

Lap 51/70

No, Montoya rejoins in 3rd ahead of the Finn and behind Sato and Button.

Lap 60/70

The race order with 10 laps to go.

Lap 62/70

It looks like Michael Schumacher is retiring.

Lap 63/70

A suspension failure ends his race.

Lap 70/70

Takuma Sato wins the Canadian Grand Prix to secure his 4th win in a row.

Juan-Pablo Montoya maintains the lead in the Championship with 2nd.

Kimi Raikkonen completes the podium.

Toyota

A double points finish, we're happy with that.

Red Bull

Another podium for Kimi, however not a lot of movement on track, Kobayashi couldn’t really progress without the incidents ahead.

Toro Rosso

More bad luck for Nico, reliability seems to be an issue these couple of races, we have to work on that.

Felipe finishes P5 with 4 points only. And for Nick, well... can't catch a break race after race with his car problems, and it could put us in danger of getting Top 3 in constructors. Not very bright news in terms of our reliability, so we need to improve on these issues.

Spyker

We take a point! Not bad from Andre who made it quite easy to bring it home. It's a good day in the office for us.

Not sure what happened with Mark, he was 4th for the majority of the race. Another podium for Montoya

Delighted with Sato again, as comprehensive as they come, but not sure how we can win the title if Montoya keeps picking up 2nd...

JV, well, no one seemed to gain any positions, so 10th is about as good as it could get

Could Rosberg return to Red Bull this season?

It’s a question that has been raised recently, as insider sources say Kamui Kobayashi and Nico Rosberg might return to their old teams in a few races. Nico has been demoted to the junior team after a poor showing at Red Bull Racing, but so far Kobayashi hasn’t managed much, with Rosberg also having done at a similar level to Kamui’s. Red Bull Racing are in a limbo this season, with doubts over the car’s overall performance.
