Great progress by Kimi, we expect points tomorrow. Surprised by Nico’s lack of performance, considering his time at Jordan.

Toro Rosso

We hope for a clean race from both drivers.

Looking impressive for Massa starting P5 for the race. Although Nick in P10 is fine, but it'll be kinda tough for him to fight for points tomorrow. Hopefully we have a good day from there.

Spyker

Something we should feel bit upbeat about it but we still expect it to be a difficult race from our boys.

Dominant drive from Montoya, great win. Robert needs to get on top of the car as it definitely has plenty of pace!

The Flying Finn does it! A second place finish definitely made everyone at the team happy. Rosberg had a misfortune, but will surely recover in the next race.

Toro Rosso

A great day for both STR and our guys over at Red Bull. 2 important points in what was a chaotic race. We kept it cool and capitalised.

What a race, we're making an official appeal to the stewards to have Schumacher put on a 1 race ban, or at least given a penalty for the next race, bad enough he took Sato out on a corner that was clearly his, but he couldn't stop himself from punting others off. Furious is an understatement.

On the other hand, JV after a dreadful quali pulled it out the bag, made great moves at the start and then kept it on the track as others lost their heads for 4th.

That was a really chaotic race there. Unfortunately one of ours were included with Felipe's mistake costing him a podium and Nick with a transmission failure that sadly closes the book of his race. Could've been better, but we move on.

Spyker

Andre with a 10th place finish. Although we can't be overall too happy after Andre's spin in which he was going for a points finish. Terrible day on our end and a very bad news for our chances of scoring points in the coming races.

It was a chaotic race, being able to have both cars inside the points today is a miracle

Tight grid in practice, looking see how it translates in qualifying.

Impressive lap time from Nick in practice. We'll see what qualifying delivers us, maybe it'll be close.

Spyker

Our pace looks to be standard at the moment, though we still expect tough qualifying ahead so it'll be very hard.

Bit of work to do, but still well placed to make it a hat trick of wins!

A lot of work for Kimi and even more so for Nico. Kimi needs to nail the start tomorrow.

We hope for mistakes from other drivers at the start.

It's a front row for Felipe! A good position for him to start the race tomorrow in P2. Meanwhile Nick's pace in qualifying is a bit disappointing to see, but we're sure he'll be on course for good positions.

Spyker

Very surprising to see Andre qualified P8 in which we're very happy with that. Let's hope with that we have a good race if not any mechanical troubles or mistakes could prevent us from finally scoring points.

2006 Australian Grand Prix

Hello and welcome to the 2006 Australian Grand Prix. Juan-Pablo Montoya dominance so far this season was ended by reigning champion Takuma Sato yesterday. Can the Honda driver get his first win of the seaason? Let's find out.

Lap 58/58

It's lights out and away we go.

Felipe Massa takes the lead!

Contact at the back as Glock slams into the back of Di Resta. Both will need to pit.

Ralf Schumacher is caught out by a breaking Heidfield.

Heidfeld is sent spinning out of the race and Ralf will need to pit.

Meanwhile, at the front, Massa is already starting a sprint away from the rest.

Di Resta, Glock and Ralf Schumacher pit.

Lap 57/58

Michael Schumacher passes Button for 3rd.

A look at the running order.

Lap 56/58

Lotterer makes a nice overtake on Alonso.

What a move from Hamilton! He passes both of them to move into 10th.

A mistake from Button drops him to 9th.

Lap 53/58

Schumacher is piling the pressure on Sato in 2nd.

Lap 52/58

Schumacher makes his move.

Contact! The two continue on but Sato loses a bit of time.

That puts Montoya alongside Sato and he takes 3rd.

Lap 48/58

Villeneuve passes Barrichello for 5th.

Rosberg looks to overtake Kubica but hits the back of him.

No damage but the contact sends Kubica wide and Rosberg into a spin.

Lap 47/58

Vettel makes his first stop of the afternoon.

Lap 46/58

Mistake from Sato!

Oh no! Barrichello has nowhere to go and smashes into the Honda man.

Both men are out of the race.

Lap 43/58

Villenueve pits from 4th.

Lap 42/58

A mistake from Hamilton sends him sliding off the track and down the order.

Lap 40/58

Nico Rosberg pits.

Lap 39/58

The championship leader is off! He drops to 9th.

What is going on!? Trulli spins off one corner later.

Kubica, Ralf Schumacher and Hamilton pit.

Lap 38/58

Michael Schumacher pits from 2nd. He's followed in by Kovalainen, Raikkonen and Kobayashi.

Lap 37/58

Lotterer is the latest man to pit.

Lap 36/58

Montoya and Allmendinger pit.

Lap 35/58

Lap 34/58

Lap 22/58

Lap 15/58

Kobayashi and Di Resta pit.

Lap 14/58

Heikki Kovalainen pits from 4th. Glock also pits.

Lap 12/58

Lotterer looks to pass Alonso.

Alonso closes the door and the two collide.

Alonso carries on but Lotterer drops a few places after a spin.

Lap 10/58

Jenson Button pits from 3rd and stays there. Alonso, Rosberg and Ralf Schumacher also pit.

Lap 8/58

Lotterer makes his third pit stop. A second race in a row where the German has been close to getting points. The Spyker team won't be too pleased with Alonso.

Lap 7/58

Villeneuve pits for a quick splash and dash. Hamilton and Allmendinger also pit.

Lap 6/58

Unbelievable! A suspension failure robs Heikki Kovalainen of a points finish.

With Button taking 3rd.

Kimi at it again. A solid effort to get a very good P5. Rosberg on the other hand should try and perform well at the next race.

Toro Rosso

A solid race for us as well. We were close to the top 8, but nonetheless a good race, with our drivers staying out of trouble.

Yes Felipe! What a performance for him in which he fully deserved it! Aside from that, Nick really can't catch a break after BMW car clouted him at the back in the 1st lap. That's 2 DNFs in 3 races for Nick which is very unlucky at the moment.

Spyker

We had a good race pace. Hadn't been that collision with Renault we could've scored a great result. Another "what it could've been" race for us, but it's another bad day in the office.
