Very happy to win at Donington, and to avoid the drama at the chicane :) Great result for the team.

But I left the space! All the time I left da space! ;-(

In al seriousness, what an unfortunate tangle. Bit of an understeer from Tobi, bit too committed to the line from me. Such is racing.

Shame the race wasn't much better for Matteo, we didn't even have our usual one-car-goes-really-fast thing going for us this round.

I have a general query - if there was a 50% chance of rain at Donington, does it mean that sometimes there may not be any rain in the game?

MTP is going to retire at the end of the season

After the recent announcement of Demon Racing's dropout at the end of the season, the GPGSL is shocked by another blowback. Last year's runner-up team Maverick Track Performance will join Demon Racing and take its hat at the end of the season.
This is what team principal John Maverick announced to the press late tonight.

"It is with both a heavy heart and some great relief that I announce MTP's retirement at the end of the season today. It hasn't been an easy decision, but it has been one lingering for quite a while. After many years of dedication to the GPGSL and motorsports in general, it is time to slow down and dedicate more time to my family who has always been understanding to my dedication for motorsport. Now it is time to give something back."

"The GPGSL has always been a great project and I loved being part of it. But with the ending of MTP, I will also end my personal career in the series. I want to thank all my teammates, all those who keep this series alive with their contributions and especially those who dedicate a lot of time and effort to keep it running. I've been on this end for a while and I know what it takes. You guys are outstanding."

"The team has decided to make this announcement official now to give both our drivers and the team following MTP enough time for preparations. Especially Carlos, Matteo and Anderson have my deepest respect and apprection for making MTP an incredibly successful journey, overall. We didn't manage the one big thing, and probably won't this year either, but thanks to their dedication and them being great teamplayers, we were having quite a blast of the past seasons.
So let me end with this: Damn you Tom Brady for being quicker in your announcement!"

Now that's something that is really sad to see for me. John was the one who had sheltered me under his wing and gave me a spot when I only began, and was the best teamowner to work with providing info about his plans and strategies before each and every round mainly... But I know he has a family to care about and totally understand his intention. Hope something miraculous happens to change his mind before the S16 start, cos it would be really great to have him around... Anyway, good luck in the future, whatever to come, Boss!(Y)

Also I would like to be included in the waiting-list with Atlantic again, thank you
hmm, and I dont see even such anywhere in the usual rules section...

Thank you for making me a part of MTP's history in the series :-)

This said, I joined GPGSL in S3... almost 13 years ago! This has been quite a journey, collected some wins from time after time, perhaps I should just free the seat ;) By the time the season ends I'll decide, I guess.

A great shame to see another team fall by the wayside. Thanks for all the hard work John.

That said, if any drivers from the departing teams are looking for a drive next season, Warringtini Racing still has a Race Driver and Test Driver spot open.

Sad to see another team leaving the league. Oh, I am next on the waiting list, I need to find that livery I painted a long time ago
