Williams

Very intense qualifying session there but probably a bad qualifying result we've expected to have in our hands unfortunately. Fingers crossed for some good gains.

Jordan

Not as quite a good place to start. Let's hope our race goes better but we expect to be a damage limitation.

Webber is going backward, Trulli now passes him.

Lap 62/71

Alonso takes 3rd from Massa. That could be important in the title race.

Schumacher overtakes Massa.

Here's the current order.

Lap 55/71

Massa loses another place, this time to Villeneuve.

Lap 53/71

Dixon is having to defend 2nd from Alonso.

Lap 52/71

That's the end of Kubica's race.

OH MY WORD! As he pulls off, he takes 2nd placed man Alonso with him and puts the Spaniard in the wall!

Alonso pits for a new front wing. That's ruined Alonso's race and title challenge.

Lap 0/71

Juan-Pablo Montoya wins the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Raikkonen takes 2nd.

Dixon finishes on the podium.

Well done, Juan. Sato couldn’t reach the top 3, which is a bummer. The gap is still quite high, we need some good points finishes

Arrows

At least we had Maldonado finish.

Toyota

A very disappointing race given Felipe started on pole. We need to be wary of Mclaren should they have a strong end of the season.

Williams

Kimi drove a solid race today and Michael had well enough to finish P5. Looking at the standings, it looks like we're close to clinching the constructors with 2 rounds to go unless something dramatic happens in the next race.

Jordan

An unfortunate day for Kovalainen retired with a transmission failure, whilst Nico comes up with a P10 finish. A bit of a sloopy day for us but we hope to bounce back with couple of rounds remaining.

I was off getting married so missed 2 races, so rather than a press release a more out of character

WHAT THE @#$%&!

Out of nowhere we get back to back podiums with both drivers getting one. JV was insane in Belgium and then Dixon in Brazil a bit of luck to to get back to back double point scores and a 3rd and 4th in Brazil is unreal. Might be able to pinch a place of Jag in the championship but wow!

Solid performance from both drivers. Now that both drivers are in the title fight, it is vital they both finish high in the points table.

Arrows

BAR

Not an ideal start to our first home grand prix after being announced as Hondas works team. Dixie has done well to put it in the top 10 and we'll be hoping for a strong race.

Great to see Yamamoto put in a good practice session, we're all excited for the main event with Sato next year.

2005 Japanese Grand Prix

The rain that has hit the circuit so far this weekend has gone and we look set for a dry race. Who will take a big step towards Championship glory? Let's find out.

Lap 53/53

Its lights out and away we go.

Sato retains the lead into the first corner.

Raikkonen is up into 2nd. A good start for the reigning champion.

Schumacher takes 7th back from De La Rosa after losing it off the line.

Lap 52/53

A look at the order after the opening lap.

Pantano has a trip through the gravel.

Montoya passes Massa.

Lap 50/53

Schumacher makes a move on Massa for P6.

Lap 48/53

Off goes Trulli!

He's out of the race.

Lap 47/53

Plenty of support out there for home hero Sato who leads the way.

Webber spins into the gravel.

He's beached it, he's out the race.

Lap 45/53

Rosberg becomes the latest man to bin it. That's the end of the race for him.

Lap 44/53

Another one! This time it's Button.

Dixon is out too with a suspension issue. They're dropping like flies.

Barrichello spins but at least he can continue in the race.

Lap 43/53

Pastor Maldonado goes off but he's able to keep the car running and rejoin.

Lap 41/53

Another one-off, it's Klien.

That's him done for the day.

Lap 40/53

Here's the current order. We'll be lucky to make it to the end at this rate.

Lap 37/53

Heikki Kovalainen spins into the gravel from 8th. He's able to continue in 11th.

Lap 32/53

De La Rosa is the latest to spin off on the un-rubbered track. He doesn't drop any places but loses a lot of time.

Lap 31/53

Vileneuve passes Castro-Neves for 8th.

Kovalainen comes in for the first pit stop of the afternoon.

Lap 30/53

Montoya, Villeneuve and Castro-Neves pit.

Lap 29/53

Raikkonen has caught up to race leader Sato.

Maldonado pits.

Lap 28/53

Pantano becomes the latest victim of the greasy surface.

Felipe Massa pits for Toyota. De La Rosa and Vettel also pit.

Lap 27/53

Pantano can't recover and is out of the race.

Raikkonen pits from P2. Will Ferrari react?

Lap 26/53

Ferrari will react. In comes Sato along with Alonso, Enge, and Kubica.

Lap 25/53

Sato rejoins just ahead!

Lap 24/53

Raikkonen looks for a pass on Sato...

But Sato is having none of it. Superb driving from both drivers.

NO! Kimi what have you done!?

He was pushing too hard and he's gone into the wall. He's out of the race!

Schumacher pits.

Lap 23/53

Barrichello is the last man to make a pit stop.

Lap 20/53

Schumacher passes Massa.

Here's a look at the current order. Just 14 runners out there!

Lap 19/53

Barrichello goes off.

He's out of the race too.

Lap 18/53

Schumacher passes Montoya for 3rd.

Lap 17/53

Another retirement. An engine failure ends the race for Kubica.

Lap 15/53

Villeneuve pits for the 2nd time.

Lap 14/53

Villeneuve spins off on his new but cold tyres.

Schumacher pits from 3rd.

Lap 13/53

Castro-Neves and Enge pit.

Lap 12/53

A mistake from Sato!!! He's off. Heartbreak for all his fans in the crowd.

Alonso takes the lead.

Lap 10/53

Villeneuve spins off and out of the race!

Vettel pits.

Lap 9/53

Sato pits from 2nd.

Lap 8/53

De La Rosa, Kovalainen, and Maldonado make their 2nd stops.

Lap 6/53

Big mistake from Schumacher but he somehow avoids contact with the wall.

Montoya pits for Ferrari. Massa also pits.

Lap 0/53

Fernando Alonso wins the Japanese Grand Prix for Mclaren and keeps his title dreams alive.

Sato does the same with a 2nd place finish in his home Grand Prix.

Montoya takes 3rd. He'll also have a chance at taking the title in China.

A bit of a disappointment for the local fans that Sato lost the win, but our title hopes are high, with both drivers in the fight.

Arrows

Kubica just can’t finish a race.

Crazy race, JV so close to sweeping up points but cant be too critical as i think the track was 50% oil today. Apologies for the suspension on Dixies car, we just needed one to finish for some points, big shame for our home race

Yes finally! Great win from Nando, gives him an outside chance of the title and the team a huge chance for 3rd place.

Williams

A terrible race sadly for us but at least Michael did very good to score some few points. It's been a chaotic race so far for everyone and we seemingly haven't escaped in Suzuka this time.
Moving to China for a final race showdown.

Jordan

What a chaos in Japan! We nearly had both of our cars eliminated and Kovalainen was lucky not to disappoint us after a spin. Yet another bad race to despair, but next one will be a big momentum to fight for good positions.

Should’ve gotten rid of Helio ASAP

Bad qualifying for Sato. Trulli is a big surprise, he is gonna make it hard for us.
