Not our best performance but that's racing for you. Felipe will be back in the car for Germany where we hope to have some news about our 2006 lineup.

Williams

A phenomenal qualifying from both Kimi and Michael. We still expect a tough battle with the Ferraris starting behind our back. Let's hope our race goes smoother in Germany.

Jordan

Convincing qualifying result for Jordan. Although Nico qualifying in P11 on his home race is a good boost! Hopefully our race goes unscathed and we aim for a good result here.

Not a great quali session, maybe some changes are in order soon...

Dominik Karda | MAC Racing - #7 - Race Driver
2005 German Grand Prix

Williams dominated qualifying yesterday but can they extend their lead in the Championship? Can anyone cause an upset? Let's find out.

Lap 67/67

It's lights out and away we go.

A nightmare start for the Ferrari's!

Montoya has dropped to 5th with Sato 8th.

Jacques Villeneuve is up to 4th!

Meanwhile, a calamity at the back as Senna runs into the back of Klien.

Klien and Senna both pit to repair the damage

Lap 66/67

I think we need a look at the order following that chaos.

Castro-Neves and Dixon collide near the back! They drop to 19th and 20th.

Lap 65/67

Looks like Dixon has a problem.

A water leak ends his race. Was that caused by damage from the accident?

Lap 64/67

DRAMA! The two Williams cars have collided as Schumacher looked to take the lead.

Raikkonen carries on in 5th.

Schumacher drops to 19th.

Jenson Button now leads thanks to that with Villeneuve in 2nd.

Lap 61/67

Lotterer passes Barrichello for 12th.

That puts Rubens out wide and he loses places to Trulli and Kubica as well!

More yellow flags. Schumacher and Maldonado have collided at the back. No damage for either man.

Lap 58/67

Webber spins in the Mclaren. He drops to 19th.

Barrichello has found a way past Kubica for 13th.

Lap 57/67

Kovalainen takes an interesting line around the first corner.

Incredible. Schumacher has hit another driver! This time its Castro-Neves.

Lap 53/67

Race leader Jenson Button makes his first stop of the afternoon. Lotterer also pits.

Lap 52/67

Schumacher pits.

Lap 51/67

Someone take a picture, you don't see a BAR leading every day!

Lap 46/67

Button passes De la Rosa for 8th. A vital move given his pit strategy today.

Lap 45/67

Kubica spins off, narrowly avoiding the wall. That puts him down to 17th.

Lap 43/67

Villeneuve pits from the lead.

Lap 42/67

Webber passes Castro-Neves for 14th as he looks to recover from that earlier spin.

Lap 41/67

Montoya pits. Can Massa push a bit and get ahead when he pits? Kovalainen and Kubica also pit.

Lap 40/67

Nico Rosberg is the next man to pit.

Lap 39/67

Alonso, De La Rosa and Barrichello come in for their stops.

Lap 38/67

Massa is in. Can he jump Montoya? Webber, Maldonado, Klien and Castro-Neves also come in.

Wow! Not only has he jumped Montoya, he's jumped Villeneuve as well!

Lap 37/67

Raikkonen and Trulli pit.

Lap 36/67

Alonso makes a move on Montoya.

Sato, Senna, Button and Schumacher all make pitstops.

Lap 35/67

Trulli's engine lets go. He's out of the race.

Lap 34/67

Oh no! Villeneuve undoes all his hard work by spinning the BAR.

Vettel is the final driver to make his first stop of the race.

Lap 33/67

Kimi Raikkonen did well in the pit stop phase, he's back up into 2nd.

Lap 32/67

Let's have a look at the current running order.

Montoya spins off! He carries on in 16th eventually. Ferrari will not be pleased.

Lap 31/67

Castro-Neves has joined him! Somehow they didn't collide. That puts the Renault man down in 19th.

Andre Lotterer pits for the second time.

Lap 23/67

Not much happening, Massa still leads ahead of Raikkonen and Sato.

Lap 21/67

Raikkonen spins!

He's put it in the wall. He'll need a new front wing. Can he salvage anything from today's race?

Raikkonen pits for a new front wing.

Lap 20/67

Barrichello and Klien pit.

Lap 19/67

Kovalainen pits.

Lap 18/67

Barrichello spins and slams into the wall. He's out of the race.

Sato pits from 2nd and Alonso pits from 4th. They are followed in by Kubica.

Lap 17/67

Massa pits from the lead. Schuamcher and Lotterer also pit.

Lap 16/67

Jenson Button pits for a 3rd time. He comes out behind Sato.

Lap 15/67

Vettel and Villeneuve pit.

Lap 13/67

De La Rosa pits. He was running 3rd. He comes in 8th.

Lap 12/67

Webber is the next man to stop. Senna pits too.

Lap 11/67

Rosberg is currently in P2. A good drive by the German.

He finally makes his second stop at the end of the lap. Castro-Neves pits for Renault.

Lap 10/67

A race to forget for Schumacher, he's spun the Williams.

A look at the top 8.

Lap 7/67

SATO IS OFF! SATO IS OFF!

Lap 6/67

Toyota are on for a 1-2 finish if Button can hold off Alonso! Madness.

Sato dropped to 14th after that spin.

Lap 5/67

Raikkonen pits. Why did Williams not fuel him to the end when they replaced his wing!? That drops him to P7.

Lap 4/67

Webber passes Raikkonen for P7.

Lotterer spins in 12th.

Kubica can't avoid him and the two collide. Kubica loses his front wing.

Lotterer is out.

Kubica pits for a new front wing.

Lap 0/67

Felipe Massa wins the German Grand Prix!

Jenson Button holds off Alonso to finish 2nd. What a day for Toyota!

Alonso has to settle for 3rd.

A last-lap crash for Kovalainen. He'll be disappointed.

This has to be the worst race we’ve ever had. Thankfully Williams also had a bad day. We welcome Rosberg aboard, a miscalculation in our budget means we have to part ways with Sato, at least for the near future.

What a disaster of a race... Two of our teammates collided meant that Kimi and Michael endured their worst race ever this season, with Kimi scoring only one point. Torrid race for us all of a sudden.

Jordan

A sensational performance from Nico on his home race! Second P4 result of the season which provides a successful afternoon for him. Sadly, Heikki crashed out on the last lap in which he'll not be best pleased by that.

We're sad to confirm that Nico will be leaving Jordan to join the ranks of Ferrari.

What an incredible race, some disappointment in Villenueve error costing a potential podium, but 6th is still an incredible drive and result, so strong all weekend.

Meanwhile we are delighted to announce the return of Sato to the Honda stable from next year, it’s vital we have a Japanese driver leading the team and a huge coup to take him from Ferrari as we look to push for wins in a Neil Oatley penned car
Toyota

Absolutely incredible. We've only just stopped celebrating. Our focus now shifts to the Hungarian Grand Prix

It's another great qualifying for Michael. Kimi has fallen a bit in the order in 7th so some work to do for him in the race. Let's hope for a good day in the office.

Jordan

Not so relevant qualifying for Jordan but Heikki and Nico both did a good work. We reckon the race for us will be difficult but we'll try everything to score good results.

2005 Hungarian Grand Prix

Michael Schumacher was the fastest man in qualifying yesterday. Can he make up for his poor showing at his home race or can Jenson Button keep up Toyota's good form? Let's find out.

Lap 40/70

A look at the running order.
