Speaking as the team principal here, I don't think you realise how deep our Honda pockets run or how badly we want him to return to the stable, he could be a hero in his home country, we'll do our talking in the sauna

He’s a hero in Japan and in Italy with us. We have deep pockets as well. Let the bidding wars start.

McLaren

Mark with a lot to do from the midfield, another tight race coming up.

Jordan

Nico and Heikki both showed some great pace in qualifying to start P9 and P11 for the race, a great quali to be satisfied for. Hopefully the race goes fine for the team.
Ferrari

Disappointing pace from Montoya, let's hope he gains positions tomorrow and he has a clean race. Same wishes go to Sato.

2005 United States Grand Prix

Hello and welcome to the 2005 United States Grand Prix. Kimi Raikkonen took pole for Williams yesterday but can he convert it to a race win? Let's find out.

Lap 73/73

It's lights out and away we go!

Raikkonen maintains the lead but Massa has had a great start! He's up to 2nd.

His teammate has had a woeful start is down in 9th.

Lap 72/73

Sato passes Massa for 2nd.

A superb double overtake down the pit straight by Button. He's up to 7th.

Here's a look at the race order.

Alonso runs wide and rejoins down the order.

Lap 71/73

Schumacher moves past Massa for 3rd.

Rosberg overtakes Castro-Neves for 7th.

Lap 70/73

Massa loses another place, this time to Montoya.

Does Massa have an issue? Button now passes him.

Lap 69/73

One man who does is De La Rosa. An engine failure ends his race.

Lap 66/73

Barrichello passes Alonso for 12th. A woeful day for Mclaren so far with Webber also down the field.

Lap 64/73

Barrichello dives down the inside of Davidson.

It's looking close in the battle for 3rd at the moment.

Lap 63/73

Montoya moves into 3rd.

Lap 62/73

Now Button passes Schumacher.

Lap 61/73

Kovalainen is the lastest to be passed by Barrichello. The Brazilian is now in the top 10.

Lap 57/73

Barrichello overtakes Klien for 9th.

Lap 55/73

Montoya overtakes teammate Sato for 2nd.

Lap 53/73

Sato look to be struggling for pace right now, Button goes through into 3rd.

Lap 52/73

Kovalainen is putting in a solid drive for Jordan. He moves into the top 10 with a move on Klien.

Lap 51/73

Rosberg and Villeneuve are the first to stop this afternoon.

Lap 50/73

Alonso, Davidson and Maldonado pit.

Lap 49/73

Sato pits from 4th. Klien also pits.

Lap 48/73

Montoya, Kovalainen, Webber, Dixon, Lotterer, and Massa make their first stops.

Lap 47/73

Race leader Raikkonen pits. He's followed in by Jenson Button, Bruno Senna, and Helio Castro-Neves.

Lap 46/73

Montoya rejoined behind Vettel and it's cost him as Button has leapfrogged him!

Schumacher, Barrichello, Kubica and Vettel pit to complete the first round of stops.

Lap 45/73

It's getting worse for Montoya as Sato passes him for 3rd.

Lap 44/73

Montoya retakes 3rd a lap later.

Here's the latest running order.

Lap 42/73

A mistake from Rosberg in P7 sends him into the wall.

He'll have to pit for a new front wing.

Lap 37/73

Kubica passes Alonso for 12th. A nightmare day for the Spaniard.

Lap 36/73

Raikkonen is in a league of his own at the front today.

Lap 33/73

Barrichello passes Massa for P6.

Lap 29/73

Another Mclaren scalp for Kubica, this time it's Webber.

Lap 27/73

Bruno Senna retires following engine failure.

Lap 26/73

Raikkonen, Button, and Sato make their second stops.

Lap 25/73

Schumacher, Klien, Davidson, Webber and Maldonado pit.

Lap 24/73

Montoya, Barrichello, and Kubica make their second stops.

Lap 23/73

Massa, Vettel, and Dixon are in.

Lap 22/73

Schumacher has jumped Sato in the pits.

Castro-Neves and Villeneuve pit.

Lap 21/73

Alonso, Rosberg, Lotterer, and Kovalainen pit to complete the pit stop phase.

Lap 18/73

A loose wheel ends Dixon's race.

Lap 17/73

A look at the current order.

Lap 10/73

All too easy for Raikkonen today. Just 10 laps to go.

Lap 0/73

Kimi Raikkonen wins a very uneventful United States Grand Prix after a dominant performance.

Jenson Button backs up last week's win in Canada with a superb 2nd.

With Juan-Pablo Montoya completing the podium.

Jordan

Painful race from Nico. That mistake threw the good chance of scoring some good points while running P7. Hopefully he bounces back strong next race.

Whilst Heikki finished P9 with a solid drive so far which is very impressive! Sadly, he'll be leaving us by the end of 2005 season to join McLaren as a test driver.
McLaren

Thats a weekend to forget!

On other news, we are looking forward to welcoming Heikki and Patrick to the team for 2006.

Ferrari

A result that while it was good, it is insufficient. Also, we are a bit disappointed it was a strategy battle more than being on-track. We expect better performance next week.

Toyota

A very positive result for ourselves in a very uninteresting race. Hopefully we can keep up our form next week in France

Renault

Both cars inside the top 10, its a good result.

The battle with Mclaren will sure be a though one

Minardi

We are very happy with the deal by Red Bull. They have shown great interest in the sport, and we hope to achieve success together

Sorry, I need to withdraw from this series. Coming in half way through has meant I have struggled to get my head around how everything works and has therefore meant I have lacked the motive to participate.
