P14 & 16 by far our worst quali 3 races in, hoping Dixie can make one on his fast starts but, we'd be lucky to scrape a point

Great qualifying from Fernando looks like we are beginning to understand the BMW engine. Timo will be in the mix for points by the end of the race hopefully

2005 Bahrain Grand Prix

Lap 57/57

It's lights out and away we go at Bahrain!

It's as you were at the front with Sato making a great start.

Lap 56/57

A look at the order following the opening lap.

Michael Schumacher makes a move on Lewis Hamilton for 7th.

Lap 55/57

Now Lotterer makes his way past Hamilton.

Lap 54/57

Hamilton is going backwards, Castro-Neves is through.

Lap 53/57

Vettel and Petrov make contact causing Vettel to spin and drop to the back.

Maldonado makes a mistake and spins his Arrows.

Lap 51/57

Looks like Barrichello has an issue.

A water leak ends the Brazilian's race.

Lap 47/57

A transmission problem ends Robert Kubica's race.

Lap 46/57

Disaster for Renault. Helio Castro-Neves is out with the same issue as his teammate.

Lap 45/57

A look at the order with 45 laps to go.

Lap 43/57

Massa and Klien pit.

Lap 42/57

Contact! It's Vettel and Petrov again.

Petrov wasn't the man at fault there.

Vetttel ran into the back of him.

Lap 40/57

Schumacher, Lotterer and Dixon make their stops.

Lap 39/57

Schumacher has jumped Massa!

Hang on, there's a yellow flag....Hamilton is out with a transmission problem.

Davidson, Senna, Montoya, Villeneuve, Rosberg and Vettel come into the pits for fresh rubber and fuel.

Lap 38/57

Alonso, De La Rosa and Petrov pit.

Lap 37/57

Race leader Sato, Raikkonen, Maldonado and Glock all pit.

Lap 35/57

The race order after the first round of stops.

Lap 32/57

That's one sick-looking Jaguar. A shame for Davidson as he was running just outside the points in 9th.

Oh my! Two in one lap and we'll have a new winner in 2005, Michael Schumacher is out!

Lap 29/57

Sato's looking good for the win at the halfway stage.

Lap 26/57

Montoya looks to be closing down Alonso, are we about to have some wheel-to-wheel action?

Lap 24/57

Here we go! Some action!

De La Rosa passes Villeneuve for 8th.

Lap 21/57

Montoya is the first man to pit for a second time. Will Mclaren react?

Lap 20/57

Mclaren don't react, Alonso stays out. The Spaniard needs some big laps here.

Massa and De La Rosa pit.

Lap 19/57

Lotterer pits.

Lap 18/57

Petrov pits.

Lap 16/57

Sato is in for his second stop from the lead of the race. Lotterer, Senna and Klien also pit.

Lap 15/57

It's heartbreak for Raikkonen for the second race in a row. A puncture ends his afternoon early.

Rosberg, Maldonado and Vettel pit.

Lap 14/57

Another puncture and retirement! This time it's Glock in the Mclaren.

Villeneuve pits.

Lap 13/57

Alonso finally pits.

Lap 12/57

He's safely out into 2nd place.

Lap 10/57

The running order with 10 to go. Definitely a day for the mid-order teams.

Lap 6/57

Can De Rosa catch Villeneuve for 6th in the remaining few laps after being jumped in the pits?

Lap 0/57

Takuma Sato wins the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Alonso comes home 2nd.

Montoya 3rd.

Great drive from Fernando, gutted for Timo who surely would have collected some points if not for the puncture

Another good race from Nico to score another point for Jordan. Vitaly P13, good day for him despite a contact by a Minardi.

Ferrari

Well done, team. After the heartbreak in Malaysia, a good race to get us at the top of the standings.

Missed Rosberg sneaking a 4th for Jordan in Malaysia!
Also Sauber should be in 9th with 4 points?

BAR
Solid overall result, 3 points in the bag, we looked to be 7th in the team standings in pace, we'll need some luck to place higher.

Jacques Villeneuve Q14 - R6
Huge performance and result, great job to jump De La Rosa in the pits and see JV deliver on his race pace

Scott Dixon Q16 R10[/b
Good recovery after a really poor start, never in with a chance of points unfortunately

Renault

A complete disaster this weekend, we should have finished with both cars inside the top 8, we are going to investigate the engines to fix whatever broke in both cars

Minardi

Sebastian is showing great pace, and we are getting close to score some points, good to see Bruno also having a good race

Toyota

Another good performance for Massa but a shame to see Lewis retire from the race.

McLaren

Great qualifying again from Fernando, however Timo should not be near the back of the grid and expect more from him on Sunday, especially as are starting to look ahead for the 2006 season.

A tough battle will ensue with both McLaren and Williams, only good strategy and no mechanical failures or crashes will help us beat them.

2005 San Marino Grand Prix

Hello and welcome to the 2005 San Marino Grand Prix. Yesterday in qualifying Williams were once again the team to beat but will they dominate the race? Can the Ferrari's or the Mclaren of Alonso have a say in the race? Let's find out!

Lap 62/62

It's lights out and away we go.

Michael Schumacher takes the lead!

A good start for Barrichello, he's up to 4th.

Lap 61/62

A look at the order after the opening lap.

A big spin for Raikkonen! That'll drop him down the field.

Lap 60/62

Off goes Timo Glock in the Mclaren.

Maldonado has an issue, he's out with transmission failure.

Lap 59/62

Back to Timo Glock and he's out! He's beached the Mclaren.

Lap 58/62

Sato is piling on the pressure looking to pass Barrichello for 3rd.

Lap 54/62

A spin for Lotterer but he keeps the car going and rejoins in 19th.

Lap 53/62

It's proving difficult to overtake out there, Sato is still stuck behind Barrichello.

Lap 51/62

Another driver off, this time it's Massa.

He's done a Glock and beached it. He won't be repeating his win from last season.

Lap 50/62

Now it's Vettel off, he does well to keep going in 14th, only dropping a few places.

Lap 49/62

A mistake from Davidson. That'll allow Hamilton through into 7th.

Lap 47/62

Another mistake from Davidson in the Jaguar.

Lap 46/62

It's a costly one, the Brit is out of the race.

Lap 45/62

Kimi Raikkonen is stuck behind Dixon and Senna towards the back, this is really hurting his race.

Lap 41/62

Sato, who was still stuck behind Barrichello, is the first to pit. Rosberg and Raikkonen also pit.

Lap 40/62

Vettel is the latest man to spin-off.

He's out of the race.

Hamilton, Villeneuve and Dixon are in for their stops.

Lap 39/62

Race leader Schumacher, Alonso and Senna pit.

Lap 38/62

Barrichello, De la Rosa and Klien come into the pits.

Lap 37/62

Castro-Neves, Kubica and Petrov pit.

Lap 36/62

Villeneuve gets the chicane a little bit wrong. He carries on in 13th.

Lotterer and Montoya are the last men to make their first stops.

Lap 34/62

A look at the order after the first round of stops.

Lap 33/62

That's not looking good for Alonso.

He's out of the race. He'll be gutted as he was running in 2nd.

Lap 32/62

Disaster for Jaguar, De La Rosa has made the same mistake as his teammate. Fortunately, he keeps the car running but he rejoins in last.

Lap 29/62

Hamilton runs wide and drops a place to 6th.

Dixon is off in the BAR, he drops to 15th.

Lap 25/62

The order with 25 laps to go.

Kimi Raikkonen dives down the inside of Lotterer for 11th.

Lap 19/62

Sato is being held up by his teammate Montoya at the moment. Definitely no sign of team orders at Ferrari.

Lap 17/62

Castro-Neves is off!

He's done the same as Glock, Massa, Vettel and Davidson, he's out of the race.

Barrichello, Villeneuve and Hamilton are the first drivers to stop for a second time.

Lap 16/62

Robert Kubica is the next man to pit.

Lap 15/62

Sato pits from 3rd, can he jump his teammate? De La Rosa also pits.

Lap 14/62

Schumacher pits from the lead. Lotterer and Klien are also in.

On his outlap, Schumacher runs wide!!

Lap 13/62

Unbelievable! He's out of the race! A certain victory gone!

That means Barrichello will lead once Montoya pits!!

Speaking of which, in he comes. Rosberg and Raikkonen also pit.

Lap 12/62

Senna pits from 12th.

Lap 11/62

Petrov and Dixon complete the second round of stops.

Lap 9/62

The order with the 2nd stops completed. Kubica in 5th could be on for points!!

Lap 5/62

With 5 laps to go it could be a superb battle between Lotterer and Raikkonen for the final championship point.

Barrichello is looking good for the win.

Lap 1/62

A disaster for Lotterer! He's made a mistake and that'll drop him out the points.

Lap 0/62

Rubens Barrichello wins the San Marino Grand Prix.

Montoya comes home 2nd.

With Sato 3rd.

Oh my word! Raikkonen has made a mistake in 8th allowing Rosberg to steal the final point. Incredible!

2005 Formula 1 Championship Standings

Ferrari

A great result, our drivers managed to stay out of trouble in such a chaotic race

McLaren

Absolutely no words - gutted for Fernando. Timo needs to up his game

Jordan

Three scoring points in a row for Rosberg! His form seems to be growing up very good. Vitaly ends up finishing 11th after another disappointing showing in qualifying. Really needs to step up somehow.

Points are always welcome, but its a feeling of what could have been after so many retirements, need to capitalise better when teams like Jaguar who seem to be fundamentally quicker than us drop out.

Jacques Villeneuve-Q12 - R7
Great result from Jacques, keeping it (largely) on the track, back to back points finishes showing why hes on the big bucks, only wonder if is his excursion may have cost him 5th or 6th in the grand scheme of things

Scott Dixon-Q19 - R13
Back to the drawing board for Dixie, way way off pace all weekend. By far his poorest showing in F1
