Tyre crossover

Great to see the forum back online again!

Can anyone help me to better understand when the crossover between dry, inters and wet tyres is?

If someone could explain what tyres to choose based on the ‘last minute’ info before a race starts. The water level, current weather, and chance of rain. I always seem to go different to the ai. Also what do you guys choose based on what the track looks like? Shiny, dull etc?
