Hi

Is it possible to create a "mask" via photoshop that is placed through GPxPatch so that we can have this type of image (effect)?

It would be interesting to have that at Le Mans races (WEC MOD)

If anyone can do that it would be incredible.

It's the same idea I had a few years ago (when I launched the mod with headlights), but I never found a good image to make the template.
Even at that time I was thinking of yellow lights ...
But I still think it's the best way to simulate night driving

A big problem is that this layer needs to be specific to a cockpit. But if you want to test, search for "overlay light" and filter for transparent images. Without a lot of work you can test some examples to see what is the best way to go.

A little test.
One possibility is to use triangular surfaces to simulate the light focus.
The z_cockpit_visor scene provides semi-transparency.
I see nothing more than that.
The GP4 was not designed for this purpose.

Wow, it looks amazing. It is already something new.
I know that GP4 was not designed for this. Many things have already been done and who knows, this could also be done.
It may be interesting to change the texture of the car headlight to give an impression an impression of a bright light ( focus - photo car 21 )
How can I have this in MOD WEC?
What configuration is needed?
Please show us how it was done.

Is this possible only in GP4 or GP3 too?

Updated shape of the light object, I built a conical shape. Much better.




The shape must be inside the z_cockpit_visor object.
The texture / color in tga or tex has no effect within the z_cockpit_visor object. It is always semitransparent white.
I couldn't find a way to show the texture with a gradient in game. Always solid.
I saw no difference between full transparency, semi transparency or opaque textures on slimtex.
And, obviously, it is a fake light, without any effect.
With the car in movement the feeling is much better.
Everything here: including the Aston Martin.
