TSM will not create new track

For years I have had this frustrating issue with TSM and decided to finally post something and maybe others have had this. When you open TSM and go to Manage Tracks/Create a New track a small window appears where you give it a folder name. Works fine. Then the window opens where you enter the track and event information on the top section. Works fine. Then you begin to work with the lower section where the wad and dat files are and you click on the small dotted squares to browse and locate those files. Those do not work. One can click on them until the cows come home and nothing. The cure in the past has been to completely uninstall Zaz Tools, restart the whole PC, and reinstall Zaz Tools, often this has to be done three or four times. I have two Windows 7 PCs setup with GP4 and the problem persists on both of them. It is extremely frustrating. Any advice, friends?
