Trying to get back into GP4 (Mac User)

Hello, Guys!

Some of you will remember me, hopefully. :-)

I've been away from GP4 for a long time...a catastrophic HDD failure in my old windows laptop caused me to lose all the files I had and it was quite a blow to myself. I lost everything: my GP4 install, Mod files and everything I had been working on...
Then, a bout of depression made me take some time to focus on my health and get back into my feet.

Now everything is better, but I'm no longer a Windows user (gave up on PCs after frequent failures and glitches made me lose work productivity) and have been wondering if it is possible to install GP4 in my new Macbook Air (iOS Catalina). Does any of you run the game and all related modding programs in a Mac? I really need some help getting started...

Thanks a lot!

Hello jucksman,

Welcome back :-)

Unfortunately it is not possible to run GP4 and it's tools on Mac OS.

Only way to get them to work with a decent performance is to use boot camp.

Cheers

Thanks, Mate!

I haven't used boot camp in quite a While...I'll give it a go, if I'm able to find GP4 for dowload somewhere.

Thanks, Fongu!

I've missed the community...there's a lot of new stuff going on...I'm impressed!

Is Wine an option on Mac? It works on Linux.

I've never tried it, but I'll research into it.
