I think it's still the three teams in the title

If this keep going I would like to have BAR

I’ve recently picked up Minardi when it became free, I have already signed new drivers, you will only have to choose suppliers and sign a technical director. If you want, I can transfer you the team, if not, Jordan is the only free team

I'm a little confused, I understand that jordan and minardi are with Parachki and John Warrigton as their second teams.

Can't I hire my own drivers for next season? Or I have to keep their picks?

For me you should be able to choose your own as 2004 hasn't been completed but it's down to Syvis when he returns

I'll wait for his return then

Any news from Syvis?

Absolutely nothing unfortunately. I'm happy to take this over in the interim until he returns to the fold but it'll take a bit of organising.

2004 Brazilian Grand Prix

Welcome to the Brazilian Grand Prix from Interlagos, the final round of the 2004 F1 season. With the Drivers Championship already won, the focus is on the Constructors Championship today. Can Ferrari overturn a 10 point deficit to win the Championship ahead of Williams? Who will finish 3rd? Let's find out.

Lap #1

It's lights out and away we go for the 2004 season finale.

The first corner sees Alonso up into 4th and Webber up into 6th.

Zsolt Baumgartner of Mclaren is the biggest loser, dropping to 15th

Approaching the end of the first Lap #and Montoya has built up a sizeable gap already in 1st

Lap #2

Kimi Raikkonen goes through down the inside of Alonso for 4th whilst Michael Schumacher does the same to Mark Webber for 6th.

A disaster for Webber as he drops behind both Felipa Massa and Rubens Barrichello and into 9th.

Lap #3

Webber redeems himself a little on Lap #3, passing Barrichello for P8.

That's put Barrichello out of shape which allows Nick Heidfeld through.

Lap #4

Felipe Massa dives down the inside of Michael Schumacher for P6.

CONTACT. The two Renaults and Mark Webber come together.

Both Renaults are facing the wrong way, a disaster for the Enstone-based outfit. Webber continues in P7.

Michael Schumacher rejoins in 11th whilst Heidfeld is relegated to P22 and last.

Lap #5

A look at the race order after 5 laps.

A huge cheer at Ferrari..and that's why, Kimi Raikkonen has locked a brake and spun the car!

The Finn keeps the engine running but he's now at the back. Advantage Ferrari in the race for the Constructors title.

Lap #6

Barrichello dives down the inside of Webber for P7.

Looks like there's smoke coming out of the back of Christian Klien's Sauber.

He's pulled over, that's his season over.

Lap #7

Nick Heidfeld's recovery drive has begun. He's passed Robert Kubica and Paul Di Resta and is now 18th.

Lap #8

Michael Schumacher moves back into the points by passing BAR's Jenson Button.

Lap #10

Rosberg passes Pizzonia for 12th. The Minardi's are currently 11th and 12th!

Lap #11

Nick Heidfeld's recovery continues, that's P13 for him now. Kimi Raikkonen is also up to P16.

Lap #13

Michael Schumacher passes Webber for P7.

Lap #14

Heidfeld and Raikkonen continue to make up places. They're now 10th and 13th.

Oh wow! Montoya makes a mistake but somehow keeps it pointing the right way to continue in 1st. He now has his teammate for company though.

Lap #17

What's this? Alonso is pulling off the track! A suspension failure for the Spaniard means he's out. Disaster for Mclaren in the race for 3rd.

Button, Raikkonen, Rosberg and Nakajima are the first drivers to make their stops.

Lap #18

The misery for Mclaren continues as Jani passes Baumgartner for 12th.

Massa, Heidfeld and Kovalainen pit.

Lap #20

The current race order with 20 laps gone.

Lap #21

Juan-Pablo Montoya pits from the lead of the race.

Lap #22

Takuma Sato, Neel Jani, Michael Schumacher and Ralf Schumacher pit

Lap #23

Dan Wheldon, Vitaly Petrov, and Robert Kubica pit.

Lap #24

Barrichello and Webber pit from 1st and 2nd. Pizzonia and Di Resta also pit.

Lap #26

With the pit stops all but complete, here's the current top 8. Kimi Raikkonen has recovered well to get back into 8th.

Lap #33

Rosberg and Nakajima pit.

Lap #34

Kimi Raikkonen passes Webber for P7.

Lap #35

Raikkonen, Button and Heidfeld pit.

Lap #36

Massa and Kovalainen pit.

Lap #37

Has Sato been ordered to stay behind Montoya? He's been within a second for about 5 laps now.

Off goes Baumgartner. He has yet to pit in this race so surely his tyres are shot?

Lap #41

Zsolt Baumgartner finally makes his first pit stop.

Lap #43

Ralf Schumacher pits from an impressive third place but loses a place to Felipe Massa. Wheldon and Pizzonia also pit.

Some overtaking action as Rosberg passes Jani for 14th....It's been a while.

Lap #44

Di Resta pits.

Lap #45

Takuma Sato pits from 2nd. Kubica and Petrov are also in.

Lap #46

In comes race leader Montoya and he rejoins back in front of Sato. Barrichello and Jani also pit.

Lap #48

Michael Schumacher pits as does Mark Webber. Webber comes out behind Heidfeld meaning he's out of the points in 9th.

Lap #50

Raikkonen passes his teammate for P6.

And here's a look at the race order following that move. The top four within 6 seconds of each other!

Kovalainen pits.

Lap #51

Massa passes Sato for 2nd. That's huge in the battle for the championship!

That was short-lived, Massa pits at the end of the lap. Nico Rosberg also pits.

Lap #53

Raikkonen passes Schumacher for P4! That puts Ferrari and Williams level as it stands.

Nakajima makes his third stop.

Lap #54

Raikkonen, Button and Heidfeld pit. That could be that for the Championship.

Lap #60

A look at the running order with 60 laps gone. Will Ferrari hold on to claim the Constructors Championship?

Lap #64

The two Williams drivers sit 5th and 8th. That's not enough if Ferrari finish 1st and 2nd.

Raikkonen is hunting down Webber in 7th.

Lap #65

He makes the move but that still won't be enough as it stands.

Rosberg retires with an engine issue.

Lap #70

Two laps to go and it's Ferrari's to lose.

Raikkonen passes Massa for 6th but it's not going to be enough, however that puts Mclaren back into 3rd!

Lap #71

Juan-Pablo Montoya wins the Brazilian Grand Prix for Ferrari.

Takuma Sato comes home in second.

With Ralf Schumacher third for Jaguar.

Rubens Barrichello can only finish 5th meaning FERRARI ARE 2004 CONSTRUCTORS CHAMPIONS.

Well, there's only room for improvement for Arrows next year.
Toyota

We gambled on a three-stop with Felipe and it cost us third in the Championship. Gutted doesn't quite cut it.

Jordan

Bring on next season

Ferrari

We are the champions! Magnificent! Nice effort from both drivers, Sato might not be the champ, but Ferrari have bounced back, with luck finally on our side after a few races of misfortune. That gives us a lot of hope for next year. We come stronger.

Minardi

Nico was in a great position, it’s unlucky for him to retire just a few laps to go. Thankfully Kovalainen finished the race.

What an end of a season

Damn montoya got third despite starting late, he would have been a real contender this year
