I can just say that if I recall it right year ago Glen stated that race he had on this track is the most boring he ever did for the league and I could'nt agree more after I did the race today. Cars don't quite like this particular corner:

For example Ryo Sakata is quite fast every time on that straight but can't pass because I think it is cc-line fault. Sorry, but I had no time to fix that. All can add is that Mid-Ohio track produces far much better and entertaining races and I will vote for that track at the end of the season.

A more eventful second half of the coverage yet to come a little bit later.

Think you are right, re CoTA for this series. It looks great, but doesn’t seem to provide good racing. I would definitely be looking at other tracks in the USA for a better option for a US GP

More boost than Michael, but he is the one pulling away with big steps. Very disappointing outcome.

Yes, it's frustrating... I know that feeling!

Awful race for me, as expected....

I played around with the braking factors in the magic data and it makes the overtaking a little better into the hairpin but still not perfect. Turn 1 still gets some overtakes for me.

Season 14, Round 10 - United States GP Race. Part 2

We're back at COTA with Ennis Parachki making a mistake and spinning the car:

It was a mistake on his own, as there was nobody near him. He rejoins in 21th ahead of Scala only:

And the race leader Michael Pedersen is first one to enter the pits for a schedule stop. Karda, De Bruyker, Vilela, Sakata and Hinz all comes in as well:

Pedersen rejoins in 9th behind Jack Elleker:

Sakata comes out and making a contact with MTP of Scala:

Both cars undamaged but Italian loses quite some time:

Greidanus starts lap 11 as a leader and it's time to stop for O'Neill, Majumdar and Parachki. The Tyrant driver forced to wait for Parachki to come in at his pit-stall:

While Pedersen sets up an attack on Elleker at the main straight:

He gets ahead and gaines some free space:

Lap 12 and into the pits goes Bouchard, Rodriguez, Buitenhuis, Elleker, Gilson and Luke Russell, who has advantage of coming out earlier than Bouchard did, so Canadian has to wait:

Greidanus continues to stay on track and begins a lap 13. McClure is the only one to pit on this lap:

Finaly it is time to stop for Greidanus, McCarthy, Silva and Scala:

Greidanus rejoins in second place and we have this battle between Karda and Kederer, who also has pitted obviously at some point:

The German driver gets ahead after a tight side-by-side battle:

Now after everyne has pitted we can take a look at the standings:

...Vilela interrupts us and gets ahead of Karda for P10:

Now we can continue with the standings:

De Bryuker in trouble! His right front wheel suspension is broken:

Yellow flags deployed for cars to slow down, but Gilson still overtakes O'Neill at the same corner:

Paolo Silva gets ahead of O'Neill as well just a few corners later:

Lap 16. Gareth McCarthy overtakes Luke Russell and takes a 4th place:

A contact between Majumdar and Gustavo at the back of the field. Both cars undamaged and stay on track:

Gilson goes for attack on Karda at the turn 1:

They touch wheels:

Gilson spins in front of Karda who was forced to go straight into his car and somehow correcting the SCR car into the right direction:

So they didn't lost much time with what looked like a possible disaster for both of them, but Paolo Silva manages to get ahead of them:

The gap between the cars in front is huge, and it looks like Pedersen can repeat his dominance he has shown in the previous race at Montreal:

It looks promising for a battle for this group of cars:

Lap 18 and McCarthy goes for a very aggressive move on McClure at the end of the back-straight:

The 3rd place goes to him:

5 laps remaining and it is close between McClure and Russell for P4:

And Russell gets ahead just a few moments later:

McClure tries to counter at the back-straight:

But in the end Luke Russell manages to stay ahead of him and takes the P4:

Back at the field Sakata goes for a move on O'Neill:

But somehow ends up getting ahead of Karda as well. Two places gained with just one move - that's impressive:

O'Neill also overtakes Karda just at the end of this straight. Karda is falling back like a rock really - perhaps this Atlantic car is damaged after the contact with Gilson?:

Buitemhuis and Majumdar are not that close behind him and he can end up being even lower than 14th easily:

Two laps remaining and Daniel Bouchard from Canada is not that far behind of McClure:

Karda with a mistake!:

He loses one place to Jeroen Buitenhuis:

Pedersen begins his final lap and looks like he has ease up his pace a lot because the gap between him and Greidanus has decreased by 3 seconds:

Far back behind him Elleker goes very wide off the track:

20th place for him after this mistake:

Paulo Silva tries his best to overtake Vilela at the main straight:

But Brazilian driver stays ahead. It was a risky move but it was worth it because they simply has no more time to hesitate:

Michael Pedersen crosses the line and wins this race in a very dominant fasion. He becomes the first driver who has won this event twice in GPGSL history. Big cheers for him at the MAC Racing garage:

Greidanus finishes in second place 6,5 seconds behind him and McCarthy comes home in third. Silva did not give up until the checkered flag but still no success for him:

Our congratulations to Michael Pedersen and Ruben Greidanus who scored the first one-two finish in MAC Racing team history. Interestingly both of them were not confirmed to race for the team in next season with Hinz and Karda replacing them, so it is only time will tell if this decision of Nathan McGregor was right. Anyway, that's all for now, and see you later in Germany. Bye-bye

Daniel Bouchard from Canada did really well in this race. Great result for him
Can't say the same about Dom sadly, was hoping for more from him :(

How wonderful, a race that looked to be a good one turns into absolute clusterf**k. Sums up my season as a whole.

13th place finish. Would have been higher if Gilson hadn't overtook me under Yellow flags, and no penalty?

Congrats to Toby for finishing in 9th.

Quite big gaps to be noticed in both FP and qualifying and while I personally was a winner of it in FP, it feels like this is not gonna be our weekend. Fortunately, Carlos could salvage some points, at least.

Pole position, fastest lap and a 1-2. Maximum points for the team. Has that ever happened before.
