Season 14, Round 10 - United States GP Free PracticeGreetings and welcome to the circuit of the Americas, located in Austin, Texas for the round 10 in Grand Prix Super League Season 14. The weather is dry for now and the light rain is expected to begin approximately 20 minutes after the session end, so hopefully it won't affect the results today. The battle for the testers championship title goes between the experienced team owners such as Ed Greenhalgh, Glen Sheppard and Greg O'Brien, so let's see who is going to get more points today.
Session starts and cars go out one by one. MMM cars of Szucs and Cremasco are first to hit the track:
Bence Szucs crosses the line and sets the first time so far:
His boss goes faster by 2 tenths:
Copeman and Maverick running close together with the MTP boss scoring the provisional pole:
They make contact aproaching the 1st corner:
And MTP car spins across the track, while Giovanna Michail finishes her first attempt:
Nathan McGregor takes 3rd place:
While Nico Beggani from Mistral goes fastest so far with a solid margin:
The laptime of Dominik Karda is good enough to bring him into the 3rd spot at the moment:
Zak Cronin cant quite keep up with the pace of his teammate just yet:
Michael Soutsen comes back into the racing action with a rather slow lap despite a driving boost:
But Rodrigo Vilela, who is currently looking for a contract, sets a laptime even slower:
Greenhalgh opens the second wave, and his lap is quite slow:
Charlie Hollidge goes absolutely fastest on his first run:
John Warrington, who is also looking for a seat for the S15, finds himself only in 10th place:
Aidan Keranen is close to him, but a little bit slower:
Sandro Calligaris is in third place after his run:
The Demon car of Glen Sheppard crosses the line and he is in 5th place:
O'Brien can't find his pace just yet with 15th time only:
While Mal Stoddart goes 3rd fastest even despite being far off the leaders pace:
Luke Russell goes into 14th:
Anderson Savio takes 16th place:
And Stuart Ingers ends up being 10th fastest after everyone made their first runs:
Eleven drivers start their second runs and Nico Beggani certanly catches our eyes:
He went fastest after the first two splits and we expect him to challenge Hollidge for the pole:
Meanwhile Cremasco is the first one to set the final lap and improves to take the 4th spot:
McGregor also goes faster than before and it is enough to bring him the 7th place:
Copeman improves a little and he is up to 17th:
Zak Cronin impoves his time but not a position and stays in 12th:
While Beggani finally crosses the line and takes the P1:
Bence Szucs finishes his lap and gets the 10th place:
Soutsen improves his time slightly, but stays where he was:
Hollidge unable to improve, Vilela with a slight improvement with no position change and Michail went from the last up to 19th:
John Maverick opens up the final wave today and he is quick enough to get into the 3rd place:
Aidan Keranen was unable to improve, while Greenhalgh moves ahead just a little:
Savio and Karda with no improvements and Ingers takes back 10th place from Szucs:
The remaining participants were unable to better their times and with Glen Sheppard crossing the line we have the official results:
