My 2 cents:

We do not want to discourage driver changes, that is not the intention of this decision. And strictly speaking, if it wasn't for Michael technically still being the team owner, everything would have been within the rules. However, what I'm asking for is to not make it more complicated that necessary. If one already knows that the new test driver will end up in a race seat after one race then please put him there immediately.
In contrast if you have a new test driver and he needs to be promoted after one race because one of the race drivers is inactive - no problem at all, you can't forsee something like that. Or if you feel the team needs a midseason swap of test driver and race driver due to performance reasons - also fine. Just try to keep it simple and straighforward when your decisions as a team owner are not driven by external factors.

You're missing one thing here - Tobias already didn't like the fact that I wanted to fill up my free spot with someone else after Edward was booted out for inactivity, because it'd give him more work. I understand that, but it already stemmed from the fact that there literally was a vacant seat in the team.
The board decided the team owner situation. This is a completely different thing (and I explicitly stated "pending confirmation from the GPGSL", because I myself had no idea how this worked).

Daniel had joined the game mid-season, therefore I thought it was a big ask for him to complete the season after doing like two races as a TD. I don't like the whole "but Atlantic will be gone next season, just keep him" thing - I received a PM from someone else showing interest in taking the seat Edward had vacated. Also, Daniel was only confirmed elsewhere for S15 after all that. I don't think I am THAT good at predicting the future...

I'm sorry but when I am part of a management game and I run the team, the last thing I want to do is sit on my ass and do absolutely nothing.

I'm still wondering however, what was the reason for having Michael in the test seat for one race before switching him to race seat instead of putting him directly into the race seat?

My GPGSL Career

Maverick Track Performance - Lineup Announcement

For once, and fitting to the times of uncrowded press conferences, we can make it plain and simple.

I was planning on running the round, but for some strange reason my computer won't turn on and as a result I won't be able to. If I can get it working again within the next few days I'll go ahead with running qualifying and the race, otherwise someone else will have to take over RD duty.

The USGP's had 11 different winners in the 11 seasons it's been held (no USGP in Season 1 or 8). Will be interesting to see if the trend continues.

My friend is helping to get my computer working again which could take a few days, so I most definently won't be able to run the round. So whoever wants to run the round instead can go ahead with it.
