Oh well, at least we're not last ... sorry Greg ;)

Feel a bit like Ferrari right now. High hopes, crushing reality. The upside is that we were expecting another tough weekend and opted for a solid improval rather than squeezing updates out before they're ready.

Not good at all. All we can hope for now is that qualifying and the race will turn out better for us.

Not good at all. I feel my driving is ok, beating Boss is always hard task, but something is going wrong in terms of balance and speed which seems to be the key at Suzuka.
For sure Team is gonna work hard overnight to get some issues fixed for race.

I am happy with the result from practice given that it is my first season here. Still hoping for a better result though in the race for the team.

Good job by the boys, but we still have a lot of work to do to top the top teams.

Welcome to the qualifying for the Japanese GP. Conditions are perfect so let's not waste any time

McCarthy is the first on track

It seems Karda could get a bit of a tow to set a superb time

Pedersen with another improvement

The reigning champion flexes his muscles. Nice lap by Kederer

No, thanks, I'm good.

De Bruyker joins the track in front of Gustavo. I'm not sure it that is according to plan

Nice! :P

First runs are done and Kederer sits on top of the standings. I guess he wouldn't mind if it started raining now.

O'Neill gets the second runs underway

Kederer fails to improve his time

Pedersen runs into Majumdar's back, both are on their hotlaps.

Sbinalla for Pedersen (sorry, I had to use it at some point)

Majumdar makes it to the line but loses a lot of time

Pedersen finishes the lap. Probably he needs some additional time to digest what has just happened.

Out of nowhere Karda sets a new fastest lap. With Kederer unable to respond this makes him a strong contender for pole position.

Buitenhuis putting it into 3rd in the last minutes

De Bruyker ist the last driver to set a lap

Congratulations to Dominik Karda for taking pole at Suzuka. He seems to have massive speed in his car and will surely do his best to convert this result into a win.

Yay, the double boost for the engine worked quite well for us. Ecxellent drive from Dom. I hope our boys won't be bumped off the track like it was at the season's opener.

As for my own practice result - I'm fine with my 5th place, keeping in mind how many boost users were on track this time.
