SIM Dashboard adds support for GP4!

Hello,

The smartphone app SIM Dashboard has just added support for Grand Prix 4!
It's an app that allows you to display live telemtry data (like speed, gears, position, ...) on your smartphone / tablet. it's available in android play store, don't know if it also works for iphone.

I have asked them to include GP4 a few months ago (and didn't think they would even response) and now they have actualley implemented it. i tried it and it works great!

it's not my setup guys, it's from sim dashboard website, it's just to show how the telemetry is displayed on the tablets.

i'll post a picture with gp4 later

edit: already done, now with an original image. enough for casual driving.

Keeping alive the GP4

a GP4-style dashboard is available under community designs;


i will make some improvements on the rev lights later and also support for the buttons on the wheel (you will f. e. be able to activate traction controll by touching the button on your phone / tablet).

edit: i have already added the revs. they probably need some repositioning depending on the resolution of your phone.

But can anyone put a tutorial to work?
Does it work with Zaz Tools, CSM?
How do you set up using Gp4 through CSM?

I can get the app working on iRacing and I can get GP4 appearing on the desktop app, but I can't find GP4 on the app on my phone. What am I missing or not doing? Thanks in advance for advice

do you have the latest version of the app? i have also enabled the beta-version-option in google play store, maybe it's about that.

yes it does work with csm and also anyother tool, as long as gpxpatch is running.
did you follow every step of the tutorial?

Yes that was it, you must get the beta version to get GP4 which I've just downloaded now

new button box for GP4 (1st post).

If someone else creates a dashboard for GP4 as well, would be great if it could be shared here.

My app is detecting the game running but it's not giving me a readout, followed the steps in the tutorial and all - is there something else I need to configure within the CSM mod I'm using?

yes, you must enable the export-function for each mod in csm, in the mod's gxpatch settings. this is because csm allows different gpxpatch options per mod. just switch to gpxpatch tab of your mod in csm, go to gpxset and enable "export".

Yeah I've done that but it still doesn't seem to work. Something happens when I start the game that messes with the config, all will be fine until I boot it up - it'll say on my phone and the app that it's running but it'll also say that the game needs configured - even though I've checked export on both the main GPxPatch and the one in the CSM mod.
