this is how I see steering wheel in gp4builder....

and so it looks in the game ...

I tried darkening the textures in tga, and giving it dark value by converting them to tex ...
The best thing I got is a very dark black that is not right either ... any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Looks to me like flipped textures?
If you're not flipping your TGAs when converting to TEX, try doing it.

i had the same problem here. The user Flash Formula helped me, it was about the tex-file, but i don't exactly know what he did.

Yeah I had a play around a month or two back, basically, you have to map all textures into steering_wheel_centre.tex and steering_wheel_ends.tex - that's all Flash did for you.
I was disappointed though as, although it is 3D, you still need to manually shade your textures, as there are no shadows in-game. So I decided not to pursue it, you might as well continue with the 2D shape.

I'd prefer an alternative to the external view, but that's another story!

Thanks guys, but I'll stick with my 2D steering wheel which wasn't too bad!
