GP4 is crashing - log file attached

Hi Guys,
unfortunately my game is crashing.
First start of session is good. But when I'm going to the menu and then back to track the game is crashing very often. Not everytime, but very often.
When I'm in the replay menu sometimes the game is crashing too.
That is very frustating.

I'm using the actually 2001 Mod from MSchumi with the 2001 Trackpack by Quickslick.

really? You come to ME with the standard trouble shooting guide about GP4?
Of course I tried, otherwise I wouldn't post here.

I assume you are on win10 and compatibility set to xp sp3? Maybe try running it without any compatibility setting. Additionally (if you are on win10) check if the legacy direct play support is activated: Systemsteuerung\Programme\Programme und Features -> Windows aktivieren oder deaktivieren -> Legacyfeatures -> direct play

@n00binio Yes I see, but if I remember right, the replay bug has been fixed with 9.6 patch!

@Kimi-The-Champ I gave you only a possible reason for your trouble! Try to activate "Direct play" features as n00binio said.


Compatibility mode for XP or administrator permission, aren't necessary flagged in W10.
This point, instead, is very important 2) Don't install the game in the default folder (mine is in C:\Users\ASUS\Documents\Games\Infogrames\Grand Prix 4)

If you don't solve the problem, maybe there will be some incompatibility between 2001 Mod from MSchumi with the 2001 Trackpack by Quickslick!

A new installation, will not fix it for sure!

Glad to see you back

Not sure but I saw this: "Process will run on CPU 1 only"

Set CPU on "0"
Also, the fact that it happens also during replay makes me think about the same problem that I fixed some years ago, thanks to Laurent and René by setting Max. track lenght to 10km.

Of course I already tried these solutions but it didn't worked. The game is crashing most time when I'm entering to the cockpit view so I'm just avoid this

It's related to the videocard, so perhaps check/reset f1graphics.cfg.

Did you have the same issue without patches?
