Hi guys this may of been asked before but I know you can turn down the shinyness of the cars but can the helmets be done also? If so is it done the same way with the darkening of the alpha channel?

yeah it's not liking me at all, if i go darker when converting tga to tex it goes black, but if i leave as is in game they are too shiny for those with matte parts on their helmets eg Albon and Stroll

Is there a setting in f1graphics to help cure this?

you have to create a new darker alpha channel to get the effects for your helmets

I tried that quick but problem is, when i change it to a tex, it gets rid of the helmet entirely even when the alpha is not totally black.

Here they are, of course albon's is matte like the red bull livery itself and i was trying to make the blue parts of stroll's helmet also matte but for some reason this time things didn't go as i planned :(

Did you even change anything in these alphas? Stroll's is a bit darker, but all parts, Albon's still is light grey?

Never used those. Either of these are fine [i.imgur.com]

The tga option gives higher quality, but also bigger filesize. DXT1 compression in the present might have been your problem.

hmm when i flipped it to fit onto the helmet shape it went back to as it was...now what if i was to flip the texture first then save it, think that could solve the problem also?

As said above, the preset is the issue. Tried it with it, went black.
