Installation with CSM:Copy all files to "...\GPSAVES\Carsets\F1 2019\Data\GpxPatch\snd", add a line "Folder40	=GpxPatch\snd,gpxpdata\snd" under [SwapFolder] swap.ini.
Permission: No permission needed to release with your mod(s).

Here is the Update for the 2019 CSM mod by MSchumi24

Install the update and enable "Commentary" in the CSM options:

Here is a full 2019 event sound set for GP4. 100% of the samples are taken from actual 2019 Grand Prix's. I've added as many specific samples as possible (especially for position changes).
Works with GPxPatch as well as with CSM (read info.txt).
Any suggestions for improvments are welcome. If you find better samples, please let me know.

Thanks to teeunieeegp4 for the idea and the startlight sample!

Have fun,
Carl

Sounds good.
Are these specific to 2019 or can they be used for any year?

The samples are from 2019 season but they can theoretically be used for any year. i just recommend to delete the intro and entercockpit.wav. the rest is unspecific.

Hi Carl

Hope you can help, I have put your sounds into my game and mostly they work great! However some sound events don’t seem to work. I haven’t heard any position loss sounds for example or whist the start lights beep the ‘away we go’ doesn’t work.

I have placed in the snd folder within gpx data And pointed to the sound set.ini so not sure what’s wrong.

Why would some work but not others?

I’m installing direct into the main gp4 folder

So gpxdata snd and pointing there using gpxpath.

What version did you use? I’ll check mine

GPxPatch 4.52

You can also try to create a subfolder in the snd folder. did you select to correct ini-file in gpxpatch?

I think I’ve selected the right sound set ini. I’ll check my version too.

What do I do to create a sub folder? Anything need adding to the ini lines?

i have never tried it myself but i thik it works without adding anything. as far as i understand, gpxpatch searches for the files in the folder where the ini-file is.

However, only a few sounds work here. EnterCockpit and ExitCockpit for example do not touch. The start signals and the pitstop radio did. I use the latest version of Gpxpatch

Very strange indeed.
I have just tested it, apparently 3D hardware acceleration within the soundmenu must be activated. No idea why it is as it is, but obviously this makes it work.

Edit: 2D hardware acceleration works as well (unbox 3D). Without hardware acceleration, it does not work.

I select 2D hardware acceleration and nothing changes. When I go back to check the option is no longer selected!

@RHill and livejackass: Sovled the problem. There is obviously a resolution limitation in GP4 without using hardware acceleration. Downsampling the files to 16 Bit and 22'050 Hz helped. I will soon convert all the files and upload a new version.
