Looking for 2 version of McLaren MP4-19 (2004)

Right, as the title says. There are two versions missing of the 2004 McLaren. Does anyone have these? Or may be able to make them?

The Melbourne version, with a different front wing seen in this picture:



And the thick nosed Monza version

Would really love that mp4-19B monza spec, it was pre mp4-20 and looked stunning. Sadly this version was never made for gp4.

I think Wai Keen Lam did Melbourne version, I have it somewhere in my old pc, but won't be able to look for it now. One way would be to take FW from mp4-18 and add it to the mp4-19, that I could do.

Was there an MP4-18 released? Never knew! I could make that change myself if I had that car.
Wai Keen Lam made the Sepang version, were the frontwing was more generic for the whole season. I've never seen a Melbourne version...

I know that both version were included in RH2004 and CTDP2004 mods for F1C, if someone have or can convert them

none of those has the monza spec, closest one is the mp4-19b by WKL and RH because they did too wide nose to the car.

I may have a go, but it may be a few weeks before I get around to it, but I can knock up noses and wings quite quickly (front and rear). Do you have any more pics and do you have Wai's MP4/19B to hand?

That sounds great Kev! If you have a go at the MP4-19B, could you also try make the nose more narrow for the generic shape?
The original one's nose is a little thick.

I had a little time this evening and made a start. (the angle of the front wing of the first shot is deceiving, the centre part of the front wing is flat)







I'm not quite finished yet with the shape, but it's just tweaking left. If I remember correctly, Wai and Enzo used a interesting technique to fool the normals on a low-poly shape, so I'll need to give that a try and make the nose blend into the main monocoque a bit better.

Textures are not perfect, I think new mapping would be needed for the nose to get textures better (red on the nose to be wider/rounder and bigger mercedes logo)
