Not too bad a job in the MMM car, so we’ll see what happens in the race...
Absolutely awful qualifying, lots to make up for in the race

+1, for me 7th.

13th? Despite the boost the home boy it's not happy with this...

Second row of the grid. Not bad for me seeing I haven't driven on this circuit before now. And with Toby on the third row the team are hoping for some good points finishes.

Un-official WTC Points Standings, with 1 round to go

McGregor 79
McCarthy 78
Maverick 78
Sheppard 74
Greehalgh 71
Ingers 70
Moinet 65

Any of the above drivers can mathematically claim the WTC title for S13.
Moinet a long shot, but if he won the next round, and all above him fail to score points, or results just fall in his favour, Eric could still claim the title. Juicy odds for this to happen though :)
I will put a dollar or two on one of the Aussie drivers to claim the title - odds pretty good right there though : 4 out of the 6 contenders....

Might be worth a straw poll between the contenders, but.... how would you prefer the final round to be run, and the WTC champ crowned : Feature Race (as planned by Kedy89 i believe from memory) or a straight out Free Practise session?
No matter what happens, luck is going to come into it - we are all so close in points, there appears to be several with boost to use, and good old GP4's simple randomness will play a big part. Either or for me.....

Part of me thinks it should just be a normal Free Practice to protect the integrity of the result, then the other part of me thinks that if you are going to win a championship you need to be good enough in all racing conditions.
One thing is for certain though, we need to know which it will be before the boosts are announced.

GPGSL Rd 13 Portuguese GP – Race - Part 1

Hello everyone and welcome back to Estoril once again, we are all ready to, the drivers are already lined up in the grid, just waiting for the lights out. Pedersen, Kederer and Russell are the championship contenders, and all three of them are inside the top 10 today, lets see how it goes.

Scala is the pole today, and righ behind him we have Gilson and Vilela

Lights out and away we go, Scala and Gilson are able to maintain their positions, but Vilela seems to be in trouble as both MACs are close to him, which also means that Pedersen overtook O'Neill, while Greidanus overtook both cars of Alpha.

Pedersen sits in 4th as Vilela manages to keep his position

As we see Kederer now in 7th, we can also see some smoke in the midfield

And it is the two MMM, Gustavo goes airborne after touching Cronin's wheel, but they seem to be okay

The top 4, Scala, Gilson, Vilela and Pedersen

Kederer didn't had a good first lap, O'Neill is in front of him, and if needed we could soon see some team orders coming from Greenhalgh

Talking about O'Neill, he goes for the overtake against Greidanus, those two teams are fighting for the WCC, we must remember that as well

Kederer on the other hand is being attacked by Hinz

Both Alphas succeed in their battles

This is how the top 10 is looking after the first lap

Kederer had a fine lap, and is now ready to overtake Greidanus

He did it, McGregor must be shaking his head in the pit wall at the moment

Worseling also overtakes Keranen for the 10th place

Jalving, who is in last place after the first laps, not a good weekend for him

Former champion John Warrington also seems to be having a bad day

Beetwen them we have the rookie Buitenhuis, who may need a new home next season

Pedersen is attacking Vilela

But the Brazilian closes the door

Worseling is now trying to overtake Russell

Job well done by him, who sits now in 9th

De Bruyker can't defend against McClure, and is in 17th now

Cronin's first race for MMM is not a great one so far, but the rookie seems to be a quick learner

Race leader Matteo Scala

It seems that one of the MACs lost its front wing, it's Greidanus

Looking at the replay, O'Neill went out on his on

He can't avoid the wall, and lost a wheel with the impact

Greidanus can't see the wheel in the middle of the track, and hits it

Hinz is going for an overtake against Greidanus

But Greidanus closes the door, this allow Worseling to overtake both of them

Greidanus is trying to go to the pits

But at the same time Hinz is trying an overtake maneuver

They touch, and Greidanus loses control

He hits Russell, who was just passing by

Russell loses a wheel, and it is end of the race for him, any chance he had of winning the WDC is now over

Warrington collects Russell's wheel, and will have to pit in the next lap

While Greidanus managed to pit after all

After 5 laps, let's see the standings

Without the help of Greidanus, who sits in last place now, Pedersen will have to earn some points for MAC Racing, and he seems to be getting close to Vilela

Hinz lost some positions after the touch with Greidanus, and he is now trying to overtake Sakata at the turn 1

But the Japanese closes the door

Warrington finnaly in the pits to replace his front wing

Pedersen tries the overtake on Vilela

But no luck once again

McClure is trying a move in his former team

Meanwhile Rodriguez is being attacked by the other MMM

And both MMM's are successful in their battles

Warrington sits now in last place

With this 5th place Kederer can keep his title chances alive

After a busy laps, Worseling sits now in a good 6th place

Keranen in 7th

Sakata in 8th

Hinz in 9th

After overtaking Rodriguez, Cronin seems to be hunting McClure now

Pedersen once again goes for the overtake

And he manages this time, 3rd place for him

De Bruyker has lost a wheel, let's see what happened

Elleker tried an overtake in turn 1

They touched and went wide

This sent De Bruyker right into the barriers, ending his race

Elleker managed to return to the race though

Pedersen is now getting close to Gilson

McClure trying an overtake on Gustavo

The Brazilian closes the door, which allowed both Cronin and Rodriguez to get closer

Race Control with the news that Worseling is retiring due to suspension failure

A shame, Worseling was doing a great race today

Keranen sits now in 6th place after Worseling's retirement

McClure trying once again the overtake

And again Gustavo closes the door, after 10 laps let's see how the standings are shaping up

Replay shows that Hinz tried a move on Sakata

They are side by side

And the German is in front of the Japanese

Time for our first break....

I almost think we keep the final round for the WTC as a straight FP, no feature race. Let the perfs do the talking, with speed on track over a flying lap or two, decide it. Too many in contention to let the randomness of a feature race decide this one!
Having said that, a feature race decider would be awesome - win, lose or draw it would be cool to watch

GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Just terrible once again, and again Warrington ends up being the innocent bystander of an incident that he had no part of. Maybe the change to the white livery was a curse for us and we should've stayed with the black livery seeing how much bad luck has gone our way since changing to it. Therefore we will be returning to the black livery on the race cars for the final round in the hope that we can at least salvage one last good result for the season.
