What is the best size to resize the TEX files to? I noticed I'm getting extremely high PO values again using the mod as it is and have no choice but to resize it down if I want to be able to run both qualifying and the race without any issues.

One could think this is the first race you run

Try placing this file [www.mediafire.com] to the Data\Patch_Test(Race) folder of the mod. If it doesn't fix it, just converting to DXT5 should be enough already.

Seriously? Thought you said all was good, no delays? Easter long weekend now over, I could have at least done quali/race had you said you had issues.....

GPGSL Rd 12 European GP – Tester’s Free Practice

Hello and welcome to Spa Francorchamps, the venue for Rd 12 of the season. Up first for the weekend is the Free Practice session for the test drivers, and the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not the weather will play it’s part in determining who takes the fastest time of the session. So without further ado let’s head trackside as we prepare for the session to get underway.

Weather Report

Cremasco is the first driver to set a time.

Greenhalgh and Buitenhuis come across the line, and the timing shows the Alpha driver taking 2nd for the time being.

5th place currently for McGregor.

Cronin takes over 5th place.

Copeman shows there is speed still inside the Christel machines as he comes across the line to take 3rd.

Soutsen comes across the line and takes 4th. Having received an inactive penalty recently it remains to be seen what will happen to him in the coming weeks.

Williams puts in a good lap to go 6th fastest.

Sheppard manages to go faster and takes 6th away. He’ll be wanting all the points he can get to go towards his championship challenge.

Michail in the AMR goes 2nd fastest.

She doesn’t get to hold onto it for long as Keranen takes the position instead.

It’s 5th fastest for Ingers.

Majumdar can only manage to go 14th fastest.

McCarthy in the second Demon goes 6th fastest.

A brilliant lap from Moinet sees him go 2nd fastest.

It’s 17th fastest for Parachki in the second SCR.

No doubt Maverick will be a bit displeased with his laptime.

Calligaris sets his time and it’s good enough to leave him in 12th.

Onto the second runs and time to see if there are any improvements. Buitenhuis improves and goes to the top of the list.

An improvement from Stoddart sees him move up into the top 10.

Savio improves up into 12th.

Top 3 for Cremasco after improving on his previous time.

Cronin moves into 10th with his improvement.

Sheppard manages to improve, but will not be happy to be down the lower end of the points.

Williams improves and moves into 15th.

4th for Michail after improving on her previous time. She’ll be pleased with that for sure.

It’s 9th fastest for Greenhalgh after improving on his previous time.

12th and 4th respectively for Majumdar and O’Brien in the Tyrants after improving on their previous times.

That is a fantastic lap from McGregor. With that he now holds the fastest time of the session.

Parachki improves but it’s not enough to move him up from the bottom of the list.

It’s an improvement for Karda, but it’s only enough to move him up to 17th.

2nd for Keranen. The pace of the 2kF1 cars is looking so good right now.

Maverick will be much happier with this time as it’s enough to move him up into 3rd.

Calligaris just can’t seem to match the pace of his teammate.

Ingers goes to 7th fastest with his improvement.

Moinet improves and remains in 2nd.

However McCarthy is able to go a bit quicker and demotes the Mistral driver down to 3rd.

With the session now finished here are the final standings.

Congratulations Nathan McGregor and MAC Racing, our Rd 12 Tester’s Free Practice session winner. When we next return it’ll be for the race drivers qualifying so stay tuned for it.

(Apologies if it looks like some screenshots are missing. I took all the shots I needed and somehow a few of them failed to be taken. I’ll have to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future.)

I use Dxtory.

Despite the great performance from Eric i don't know if we could get the same level on race day.

Lets wait and see... Wet races are always full of surprises. :)

hmm alright, it was raining so we shouldn't look too deeply into it or get ahead of ourselves with that result.

Ah, that's mainly for video recording, isn't it? Never tried that one myself, I use ShareX for screenshots and OBS for video.

@Glen: with just F11 you don't get the result screens though, afaik. Plus you need to convert the files, since bmp are too big.

Nice start to the weekend for us.

Retro Liveries on the SMD-ZG02![www.grandprixgames.org]
Retro Renders 2.0 on the SMD-ZG02LN![www.grandprixgames.org]
Looks like the car was not quite set up for the wet weather conditions which affected the overall pace of both cars.
Hopefully we learn from these mistakes and try to give it a better shot at the qualifying.

Kimi forever!
Very disappointing, I guess all we have to do is hope that the weather is better for the race drivers' qualifying.
