WREXHAM Motorsports Racing Driver S16: ?
Welcome back everyone....
We now run to the conclusion of todays GP.....

We pick up the action again, with Sean O'Neill defending from Luke Russell. Warrington in the foreground, is yet to pit...

Russell is following closely behind the Alpha...

Current race leader, Vitor Gustavo is also yet to pit. We just thought he should get some TV time, with #1 against his name...

Scala also yet to pit...

And same for Rodgriguez, still to stop...

The front two cars pit, Rodriguez looks to be going around for 1 more lap...

Rodriguez leads from Warrington, and then O'Neill and Russell....

Warrington is not playing to the script, going defensive whilst on tired old rubber, with O'Neill on fresh rubber, having to go the long way around...

O'Neill cant get past the Tyrant, which allows Russell to close the gap...

Russell senses the opportunity awaiting and is right on the rear of the Alpha...

At the same time, our cameras pick up Gustavo in the wall, with front wing missing : what has gone on here? Replays await...

Replays show De Bruyker right behind Gustavo, who is doing a bit of blocking it seems...

They both lock up, after a slight touch from the Tyrant...

Gustavo's great day will be soured, with an inevitable visit to pitlane to follow, and totally ruin his otherwise very promising result...

De Bruyker spun, and needs to recover urgently, ahead of the chasing pack...

The view from Kederer shows debris on track, and a traffic jam ahead....

Gilson and Jalving take evasive action to avoid the recovering Tyrant, and MMM in the wall...

De Bruyker is able to drive away, whilst Gustavo is still facing the wall in the background...

De Bruyker has Jalving, Gilson and Kederer in hot pursuit behind him...

A trail of cars in close company, as they enter the tight complex around the historic castle...

Meanwhile up front again, it is Warrington still fending off O'Neill and Russell...

Warrington finally pits, to release our two "would be" leaders...

Russell once again staring at the back of the Alpha...

Pedersen in 3rd, can barely see the leaders ahead of him...

But the amazing GPGTv cameras can see the top 3 all on the back straight....

A bit of a strange shot, but we seem to be focusing on Sakata...

The Japanese driver seems to be off the pace...

Sakata appears to have some strange issue, and will be pitting. THis will ruin his afternoon as well....

McClure has to take evasive action as he goes past the slowing Christel...

Gustavo also heads down pit lane for repairs...

The gap between the top 2 seems to be slowly stretching out...

After all scheduled stops have been done, our positions 1-8...

9 - 16...

And 17-22....

O'Neill has the foot planted, setting a fastest lap as he tries to break the tag of Russell...

After a nice tow down the front staight, Scala gets by Gilson under braking for Turn 1..

Gilson now has his team mate Nick Worseling closing up behind him....

Some movers in the top 10...

So far, Daly McClure is the big mover, up an amazing 9 places so far...

Scala now taking a look at Kederer to take 6th...

Kederer yields to Scala...

Christopher Hinz has been keeping out of trouble so far, and sits on the final points position for now...

Rodrigo Vilela also has been keeping out of the action, and will hope to get involved in some as the race heads to it's conclusion...

That gap has extanded from 1st to 2nd....

Worseling heads past the castle...

Vilela in the historic castle section, with Hinz close behind...

Keranen in 15th in his team entry...

Warrington in 16th....

Silva in 17th....

Buitenhuis in 18th...

Soutsen in 19th in the sole surviving MMM....

Sakata a sad figure in 20th...

And GUstavo, also a forlorn driver in 21st and last....

But the happiest man on track right now, Sean O'Neill....

O'Neill appears to have the race under his control. Only his to lose from here...

Warrington in 16th, is having a spirited battle with Keranen...

The Tyrant of Warrington edges ahead of the 2KF1 of Keranen....

Jack Elleker having a queit day so far, out of the points in 14th....

After his earlier spin and incident, De Bruyker holds onto 4th, but has Jalving lurking close behind...

Pedersen in the MAC looks to have 3rd sewn up, if he can keep running to the end...

Jalving closing up on De Bruyker, with positions 1-8 displayed...

Positions 9-16....

And the 17th - 22 places....

Jalving has a run on the Tyrant ahead of him...

Out of the slipstream, up the inside, and the position will go to the Dutchmen...

De Bruyker loses that battle, but carries on in the war....

A tight pack of cars from 8th with Gilson, then Worseling, McClure, Vilela, Hinz and Rodriguez all in camera shot...

Elleker coming under attack from Warrington, late in the race...

Side by side down the front straight...

And the Tyrant slides ahead of the Aston Martin Racing machine...

Keranen tags onto the end of this battle, but it is all for nothing, out of the points today...

Rodriguez is hot on the heels of Hinz, chasing down the final point from today's race...

Hinz can't keep the charging MTP behind, and drops to 13th...

A handful of laps remain, and the final spots still up for grabs in today's points. Can the AMR driver re-claim the spot...

The AMR of Hinz has the slipstream and looks to be pulling out to pass...

And 12th spot is back in the hands of Christopher Hinz. For now...

Full standings on display....

Two of today's hardest chargers, McClure and Vilela....

Kederer at the bottom of screen should get home for 7th, with Gilson comfortably far enough behind...

Race leader Sean O'Neill holds that consitent gap he has seemingly had all race long, and is on his final lap...

Meanwhile, running dead last, it is a case of what could have been today, for Vitor Gustavo. Wouldn't mind betting he will be off to have a converstion with De Bruyker post race...

The two SCR's running 8th and 9th, with some action way behind up the track....

It is Vilela going ahead of McClure, and Rodriguez looking to get past Hinz again...

Rodriguez makes the pass, as does Vilela....

But the story of today, and indeed the weekend, is all about the Alpha domination here in Baku. O'Neill is on the home straight, with the chasing 2nd placve car just in the background....

It is a sensational first career victory to the Irishman, Sean O'Neill here on the streets of Baku....

Luke Russell comes in 2nd for Christel VXR, a great boost for his WDC hopes...

Mac Racing takes 3rd spot, with Michael Pedersen having a flawless drive keeping him in WDC contention...

Charrel Jalving brings home the DMR for 4th place...

Matteo Scala takes 5th for MTP....

Marcus De Bruyker gets the 6th spot in the Tyrant...

Tobias Kederer ends the day in 7th, which isn't quite what he would have hoped for. Still some solid points for the championship...

Joseph Gilson leads the SCR charge today, finishing 8th...

Nick Worseling takes 9th...

Rodrigo Vilela finishes 10th, having overtaken a lot of drivers today!...

Overtaking a lot of drivers as well, Daly McClure finishes 11th....

And taking the final point, is Carlos Rodriguez for MTP...

Christopher Hinz takes 13th....

John Warrington 14th....

Jack Elleker 15th...

Aidan Keranen 16th...

Paolo Silva in 17th....

Jeroen Buitenhuis 18th...

Michael Soutsen 19th....

Ryo Sakata in 20th...

And Vitor Gustavo in 21st....

But it is a huge congratulations to Sean O'Neill, for putting on a masterclass this weekend....

Of course...

Vitor lost a front wing and had to wait everyone pass by, De Bruyker didn't lose even a single place...

Thanks Tyrant, for ruining our single chance of scoring points this weekedn

Another weekend without points :(

come on...

I really respect de Bruyker a lot, he's a great driver,
he didn't win the last championship for nothing.
it is normal to make mistakes, even I could have hit him.

But anyway...
"You came like a torpedo!"

Wrong race result and fastest laps posted.

Congrats Sean, well done. Damage limitation only on my end, not quite enough to keep the lead. Friggin Russell...

Another disappointing race

A steady drive from myself racking up the points. Car had great pace, gutted for my teammate to have issues with the car. We were running so well. Roll on Hockenheim.
