Demon Racing Press Release

Demon Racing Season 14 Driver Lineup

Demon Racing are pleased to announce, absolutely no change to the driver lineup for Season 14.
Charrel Jalving and Rodrigo Vilela will remain in the race seats, and Glen Sheppard and Gareth McCarthy in the test seats.
All drivers were very keen to retain their seats, and continue what we hope is a push towards driver and constructor titles in seasons ahead.

Gareth McCarthy remains in the test seat at DMR, although the team has fully encouraged him to look around for any potential race seats next season. His talent and speed is almost too good to waste, so any team owners needing a race driver, enquire with DMR re contractual deals between driver and team

In summary, the media have drummed up so much fear into the Coronavirus, that idiots here in Australia are so petrified they may have to be quarantined at home for 14 days, our shops have been fleeced of all toilet paper! Barely anything around in shops. Even restaurants/public venues having their toilet paper stolen!

Why? Um, because people are idiots, basically! It is anyone's guess why toilet paper is being snapped up feverishly, but.... it is rare to see it on shelves at shops currently LOL!
So, if you are coming to Melbourne for the F1's in just over a week, bring lots of personal supply of poo paper! You could make a fortune on the black market.

Apparently, the gullible think that they will catch Coronavirus, and if they do, they will be spending every minute of their life doing poo on the toilet???!!! This is the sort of stuff Trump would roll out and believe.....comedy gold.

I used to work for the parent organisation and it was a running joke that every second headline was about a monster croc, a UFO, sex toys or fireworks. It's a genuinely brilliant publication

Perfs were ticked off about 48hrs ago, not posted officially until tonight. FP was run before posting, as i forgot no one else had put the post up....
Not too hard to get it all done

A bit sad though, not one single volunteer to RD any session this round, so... i am doing them all.

Season 13, Round 10 Qualifying

Welcome all to Baku, for the innaugural visit for the GPGSL

Qualifying is first on the schedule this weekend, mixing up the normal program a touch. Free Practise to follow....

Weather today looks ok for the 30 minute Qualifying session.


First on track in Azerbaijan, is AMR driver Jack Elleker. He sets the benchmark time....


Luke Russell goes straight to the top...


Vitor Gustavo into 2nd....


Sean O'Neill into 2nd....


Rodrigo Vilela 3/4 a sec off the pace, in 5th....


Paolo Silva in 6th....


Ryo Sakata makes it a Christel front row for now, hopping into 2nd....


Carlos Rodriguez in 8th...


Michael Soutsen in 9th...


Nick Worseling with a nice lap, up to 4th....


Jeroen Buitenhuis in the 2KF1, slowest of the first group, in 11th....



The second group of cars on track, and it is Tobias Kederer going 2nd quickest...


Joseph Gilson goes 5th, with some nice pace in the SCR it seems in Baku....


Ruben Greidanus mid pack for now, in 7th...


John Warrington pops into 9th with his first lap....


Michael Pedersen up to 5th....


Aidan Keranen in 16th....


Matteo Scala puts the 7th fastest time on the board....


Marcus De Bruyker up to 2nd....


Daly McClure in 14th....


Christopher Hinz 11th in the AMR....


And rounding out the field on their first flying laps, CHarrel Jalving who goes 13th fastest....


Time for the second flying laps to begin, as the cars file back into pit lane...


Buitenhuis wont be too pleased, with the AMR of Elleker having headed out on his out lap ahead of him....


Ryo Sakata wows the spectators, taking provisional pole!


Rod Vilela improves, but is down in 16th....


Vitor Gustavo puts in a great lap, to go to 3rd on the provisional grid...


Russell couldnt match the pace of Sakata with his final flying lap...


Rodriguez moves up to 12th,..


From the clouds, Sean O'Neill bangs it onto 1st spot on the grid....


Silva gains time, but is way down in 19th....


Former series champ Gilson showing some genuine speed today, up to 6th fastest....


Griedanus pops into 8th....


Keranen makes a big gain in time, good enough to elevate him to 15th....


Pedersen into 6th....


Jalving into 7th as the session draws to a close...


So, it is a big pat on the back to Alpha's Sean O'Neill for taking pole position in Baku. Ryo Sakata joins him on the front row for tht eupcoming race. Championship leader Tobi Kederer down in 9th, will want to ensure he gets up and past rival Luke Russell who starts 3rd.
Then throw in Pedersen starting in 6th, our WDC title race is setup nicely for some action here in Baku!

Well that was a big surprise for me, getting my first ever Pole Position.
It's a shame that Toby couldn't have been along side me but hopefully we can both achieve a good points finish in the race.
