Not too bad, fingers crossed that I can stay within the top ten and grab some points.

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
6th place on the grid, much better than last ;-)

Yeah, that's a really good qualifying. Hopefully a very good race as well.

Kimi forever!
Happy new year folks!

Christel VXR driver #6.

Damnit, we're all really quite far off the pace here. Looks like it's one to sit out then.

Nonetheless, happy new year to all of you.

Not a good performance by myself, shame

Happy new year everyone :)
I was testing "this" to see how it looks, and it looks pretty cool.

Unfortunately, with this F1 template you can not put more than 20 drivers.

anyway, did you like it?

Happy new year everyone!

I was hoping to qualify a bit better here, but a lot is possible from P10. Still starting inside the points, so let's fight for some more :-)

That is pretty damn cool! Would be great if it could get all the 22 drivers of a GPGSL field....

yep, You're right, I just swapped the F1 grid with the GPGSL grid to see how it looks.

It is not difficult, but it is too lazy to do so.

Some one make one, and one easy to manipulate for this series!! That would be cool to use....!

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
GPGSL S13, Round 7 - US GP @ Austin TX, Circuit of the Americas - Race day

Today's picture perfect weather forecast. No chance of rain. No excuses today...

All set, the grid cleared and 22 of GPGSL's best, ready to tackle 23 laps of the Circuit of the Americas...

Underway, and the charge up the hill to turn 1...

Timing shows Pedersen has edged ahead of Russell...

Looks to be a clean, slow run up the hill and around the tight Turn 1....

Russell and Pedersen are side by side on the run off Turn 1, as the rest of the field come through the first turn...

Pedersen has to ease off on his challenge...

But the MAC is tucked in right behind the Brit pole sitter Luke Russell...

The MAC is all over the back of the Christel, as they come out of the twists and turns of the opening sector...

Russell leads, as the field approaches the middle of lap 1....

Russell led the opening lap, and the pack is already stretched out behind him...

Daly Mcclure back in 20th, with Worseling and Buitenhuis bringing up the rear...

Tail gunner on the field, Buitenhuis in the TNR...

The runners ahead of the TNR in last....

Replays caught a tangle between Worseling and Buitenhuis, as the TNR driver took a dive down the inside of the SCR at the end of the long back straight...

They both live to fight on....

Graphics show the full field as they start Lap 3....

Pedersen has pressure from Kederer close behind...

Kederer, Warrington, Gustavo, De Bruyjker and Hinz all together....

Greidanus in the MAC trying to latch on to the back of the pack...

De Bruyker leads a train of cars...

Canadaian GP winner, Carlos Rodriguez runs in 11th at this stage....

Soutsen in 12th early...

Elleker down in 15th in the AMR, with Sakata close behind...

Russell has a very nice 4.6 second lead on the 8th lap....

On the 8th lap, finally, some action!!! Sakata all over the back of Gilson...

Sakata takes the SCR under braking....

But the experienced Gilson doesn't give up...

And the SCR driver retains the position....

Trouble for O'Neill in the Alpha!....

Transmission failure will end his day on track....

The race leader passes the scene of O'Neill's retiring machine....

Kederer has not let Pedersen get away from him....

And the Tyrant of Warrington and MMM of Gustavo, just a little further back...

And then defending series champ, De Bruyker also in close range...

But it is Russell now over 5 seconds ahead...

O'Neill's AMS is now almost off the track, as Russell passes yet again the scene....

The top 8 on track...

4th to 11th all following line astern down the long back straight...

Pit stops underway - the order on track may get mixed up after all stops are completed...

Four of the top runners in pit lane at the same time...

Gustavo in 15th almost runs into the back of Gustavo as he exited the pits and heads aroudn the 1st turn....

Hinz leads Vilela and Greidanus after their stops...

Scala pitted with the 3 cars ahead of him but has lost ground on them...

Soutsen makes his stop, with Sakata just ahead of him in the pit lane...

A DMR ahead smokes his breaks, fending off Greidanus...

Drama ahead though! Pedersen has slammed the outside retaining wall!

The team reported a transmission failure, and the MAC driver was unable to slow the car....

With Pedersen's demise, it is all up to the remaining MAC of Greidanus, who is hot on the heels of Jalving....

Kederer pits, with De Bruyker already leaving his pit box after his stop...

Warrington temporarily holds the lead....

Russell after his stop, runs in 2nd. But a commanding lead prior to his stop sees him still 10 seconds ahead of his closest real challenger, De Bruyker...

Excitement on track??!! Two cars side by side almost...

Hinz in front as they approach the apex of the tight turn...

Vilela stays engaged, not giving up....

And the Brazilian holds off the German this time...

The AMR will have to hang on, and try again...

Warrington (unsighted as he is exiting pitlane to the right of screen) has team mate and the MMM of Gustavo fast approaching down the front straight...

The TMS driver slots in front of Gustavo, with De Bruyker visible (only just!!) ahed of his Tyrant team mate...

Rodriguez heads the chasing pack mid field challengers....

Almost tied to together by identical lengths of rope, 2nd through to 4th on the front straight...

Christel VXR's Luke Russell is having the weekend dreams are made of, leading by almost 12 seconds, with 8 laps to go...

Vilela leads Hinz and Kederer...

Rodriguez in 8th, having a fairly silent day on track...

Jalving having a day he would have hoped would be better...

Greidanus trying to nurse home the MAC for some points...

Soutsen down in 11th, being outshone by his team mate today so far...

And Jack Elleker rounding out the potential points finishers with not too long to race....

Scala in 13th will be hunting Elleker ahead of him...

Former series Champ, Joseph Gilson just not having any pace in Austin...

TNR stand in boss, Keranen running

Worseling way down the order today...

McClure, back in the Ecurie today, hasnt been able to replicate some of the strong runs he had in his first outings for EMS...

Silva in the other Ecurie, also not having much fun out there today...

Sakata running at the almost end of the field, while his team mate is destroying the field out front....

And running last, Buitenhuis in the TNR...

Back to the mid pack, Soutsen narrowly leads Elleker...

Further ahead, Gustavo leads Vilela, Hinz and Kederer...

Warrington in 3rd, is almost 4 seconds up the road with 4 laps to run....

Scala in 8th, is desperately trying to hang on to Kederer ahead of him...

Kederer has closed up on Hinz...

Kederer is having a look up the inside on the run into Turn 1....

Hinz covers that move....

Kederer locks up, avoiding contact...

And Hinz escapes the claws of Kederer....

Our race director suddenly goes to a replay of action that was missed in the live coverage, and it is once again the Hinz/Kederer battle...

Kederer is way up on the inside of Hinz this time....

Kederer has the position this time....

Hinz tucks in behind for the apex, to try a better exit than the Alpha driver...

The AMR of Hinz has nothing left, and Kederer has the spot now...

No real signs of any further action from this group with gaps to all cars...

De Bruyker in 2nd, leads team mate Warrington. Daylight after that it seems...

Luke Russell surely can't lose from here, as he makes his way through the final few turns in the stadium section....

Victory for Christel's Luke Russell at the COTA...

De Bruyker finishes 2nd...

Warrington home in 3rd...

Gustavo with a brilliant 4th for MMM

Vilela runs out 5th in the DMR

Kederer in 6th in the Alpha...

Hinz finishes 7th...

Rodriguez takes 8th position...

Jalving in 9th for DMR

The MAC of Greidanus finishes 10th...

Soutsen gets 11th for MMM...

And Elleker in 12th, grabbing the last points paying position...

So a huge round of applause for Luke Russell and the Christel VXR team, for a truly dominant showing. Pole, race win and fastest lap for Mr Russell. Can't do any better than that....
