We'll all be carrying extra ballast in the car due to excessive cheese...

GPGSL Season 13, Round 7, Free Practice, US Grand Prix
Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas.

For the first time, GPGSL rolls into Austin, Texas, for the US Grand Prix, at the Circuit of the America's.
And this will be the last running of 2019, with the GPGSL announcing the Qualifying will take place very early next year...

The weather appears to not be a factor today, with perfect clear Texas skies...

Free Practice is underway, with the first man to set a lap time, Ed Greenhalgh...

Joseph Gilson fills in the newly vacated test seat at SCR...

John Maverick just under 0.6 slower than Ed...

Greg O'Brien in 4th...

Eric Moinet 7/10 of a second off the pace...

Paolo Silva, in the second Ecurie entry, slower than his team boss...

Anderson Savio into 5th in the MTP...

Gareth McCarthy goes fastest in his DMR...

Glen Sheppard 3rd fastest...

Nathan McGregor takes the top spot...

Nata Cremasco finishes off the first wave of cars, with the 5th fastest time....

Second group of cars now completing their flying laps...
It is rookie Edward Williams, with the 8th best time so far...

Jeroen Buitenhuis clocks the 7th fastest...

Aritra Majumdar into 6th...

Michael Soutsen, just under .6 second off the pace, goes 6th...

Giovanna Michail down in 16th and last so far...

Domonic Karda impresses in the Alpha, up to 5th...

SCR team boss Mal Stoddart won't be thrilled with 18th...

Sandro Calligaris mid pack, with 11th...

AMR head honcho, Stuart Ingers jumps onto the time sheets in 6th...

Christel VXR's Chris Copeman immediately takes over that 6th position, and is the last car to clock a laptime...

The second run of cars is underway, with Greenhalgh tucked up behind the Tyrant Motorsports entry on the out lap...

Savio is the first to post his second flying lap, improving to tenth...

Having followed Savio, O'Brien also improves, but is down in 16th...

Greenhalgh was well off his best, having been stuck behind the slower cars ahead...

Silva takes nearly 0.5 second off his earlier lap, moving to 10th for now...

Ecurie boss improves as well, but is well out of the points today, down in 19th so far...

Gareth McCarthy clocks a good lap, but can't improve on his earlier effort...

Nathan McGregor can't beat his earlier time, and provisionally holds the lead...

Sheppard improves, moving up to 3rd...

Maverick posts a good lap, to get him up to 9th...

Joseph Gilson doesn't improve...

Cremasco just over 0.4 off the pace, up to 5th at this stage...

Ingers goes to the top, with a great lap!

Keranen can't beat his earlier time...

Buitenhuis can beat his earlier time though, and is into 7th fastest...

Soutsen must have found trouble somewhere in his lap, over a second off his earlier lap..

Stoddart into the top 10, with a good lap...

Majumdar unable to improve...

Karda again, puts in a great lap to put himself into 5th with just a handful of cars still to cross the line...

Williams makes a small improvement, but not good enough to climb the standings...

Copeman just under 0.5s off Ingers pace, good enough for 9th...

9th place is quickly taken over by Calligaris, as he finishes his lap...

And closing out the session, it is AMR's Giovanna Michail, clocking the 19th fastest time...

But, today's fastest driver, Stuart Ingers from Aston Martin Racing. Congratulations to he and his team...

Full results from the completed session.

I have no one else to blame but the Christmas pudding. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Not a good session for us.

Don't look to promising for the race day...

Not a good result. Chocolate and Champagne aren't good for my pace.

Michael, give me back my helmet

5 and 6 for me and Ed. Not a bad run at all & I'm happy to actually score points again after that dry patch

Dominik Karda | MAC Racing - #7 - Race Driver
Mixed bag for AMR, hopefully by qualifying both cars will be fast

Hey yeah! Just noticed that! Must be a 'leftover' in the mod, after the recent driver swaps. Will make sure that is fixed up ahead of further track action.....

Qual and Race have been run.

People in this league have always complained about Moncao being boring, and a procession. Add COTA to this boring list....Maybe the most dull and boring race i have ever RD'ed....
Coverage to appear in the next few days.
