I see that the same two drivers from before still have 399 instead of 400 in the race driver perfs.

Beggani and McClure.
Not quite sure why that variation - for the perf experts, IS that an error? Can the RD'ing get underway?

Fair to say i am very pleased to be right up near the top of the time charts, to get my WTC title defense underway, with the first points in my season so far. Double team boost and personal boost certainly got the DMR equipment roaring today.....

12th and 9th. Not too bad, but not exactly what we were hoping for. Hopefully it goes better for us in qualifying and the race.

Geez....how does my driver with a 20 point perf penalty finish 5th and I finish 18th. Lottery right there.

Oh, I might get more supporters of widening the gap between the perf values over the season, so maybe rule changes coming for a S14 :-)

Speaking for the practice, the pace of MMM cars wasn't really good, which is worrying since I decieded to rely on the team boost only for this round :(

As usual, a little summary on how boosts worked for this session:

Scheider's result seems pretty much remarkable indeed, with a penalty and no driver or team boost either. It's like he gave his best (of the variance) on the field

Qualifying and Race have been run and won.
AI Errors at 40 had been giving plenty of incidents. Tests lowering the AI errors did see less carnage, and as a result the race was run with AI errors set at 25. Still a fair bit of action, along with good racing. And still an incident or two....

Qualy expecting to be posted approx 24hrs time, Race likely to be Sunday.......

Huge thanx for lowering the AI errors, I like races with less unnecesary action. It's not like we're all cannot drive these cars well after all these years. And GP4 overtakes anyway can be messy sometimes on tracks with a bad cc-line or with some certain type of corners, so some clashes are inevitable for pretty much every race.

Ohhh!!!!!!! Btw can be a fun idea of giving the novices the higher errors value, and veterans less, since the latest GPxPatches can handle this. So, the long-term drivers will be rewarded. We can do it in this way:
the newbie guy who has 0-6 races on his score has 40 error rate,
the guy with 7-13 races has 34,
driver with 14-20 races (one full season+) has 28
driver with 21-27 races has 22
28-48 races (2-4 full seasons) has 16
aaaaand the must experienced drivers who have been here for ages (Charrel, Dan Mills, Greenhalgh, Hinz, Elleker, Pedersen and some others) has 12 or even less - let's say 5-8

So, with that the experienced drivers will have some advantage, even if they haven't raced for years (like Ruben or mr.Scheider, who had some races in the past, I believe). Now they are just losing all their perf values and starting as complete newbies, but with this they can have just a little more weight. And the errors happen on the random parts of the track, so it's not like the drivers with the higher one will always go off, cos error can happen on the straight (has little effect on lap time), and can happen during the tricky corner (driver going off into the wall). Just and idea, but I think it is a good one (I)

Will be corrected for the next race, thanks for pointing it out. The effect is negligible, though, so the race can go ahead anyway.

Great result for AMR btw (Y)

Maybe you was held behind the other cars during your runs. Btw what do we have now? Two laps for each driver or 1 hour session as it was at some rounds year ago? And honestly it could be better if we had testers session to be covered more preceisly, so we could tell if the drivers were held or whatever else was happening there. I feel like our poor tester guys don't recieve enough attention from Ernie B. sadly :(

Oh, how can you say this :-o This 399-400 difference gives potential 1 point to be added to the current perf values, which is significant, considering the gap between the best and worst value was 45 at the start of the season!
Just kidding tho, it's just I'm going to constantly remind everyone how much I'm against the current severe equalisation politics ;-)

The Test drivers sessions are pretty much open to be conducted in however the RD decides, for each event. Yes, if the standard qualifying session is used, each driver gets just 2 timed laps - which is not much, and is fraught with danger of drivers being blocked, slowed, compromised etc. Hence why last season I had these exact disussions with the GPGSL board, and (without checking right now) some adjustments were made to the GpxPatch settings to allow in Free Practise sessions, cars will run several laps at a time, with limited cars on track - this gives all drivers a better chance of running laps at their best potential speeds.

The RD has that discretion to run sessions in whatever format they wish for the test drivers. Feature races every few rounds clearly give some air time to all involved. Having just re-read the series rules, Rule 10 actually states Feature Races can be run with NO POINTS awarded? Hmmm, this may need to be clarified by us on the board - 99% sure we have always awarded points :)
Bottom line is, for an RD it is entirely up to them how extensive a coverage can be - 1 reason why last season i offered to do RD for either the Test or Races only, to allow more time to be spent on one or the other.

Ufa!! I think I'm on the list!! ;)

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
3rd and 6th, that was a good practice session for us so I'm happy with it :)

Let's see what Tobias and Sean can do in the main qualifying!
