Will just leave that image there..... artistic bias put on hold, but i thought the green/gold MAC looked great on track, and has plenty of contrast to the AMR....

Don't know the difference to be honest, with zmodeler the cars don't look 3d, is that it?

A week or two ago, i raised the prospect of the return of the GPGCL.
Well, to gauge the interest, here is the randomly generated schedule.

Each GPGSL team plays all other teams 1 time, with the constructors points from each corresponding round used as their head to head score against their drawn opponent for each round. A results table will then see the top 4 teams go into a finals system, beginning at Spa. Semi finals (race at Spa), a preliminary final (race at Estoril) and then the Grand Final to be run at Silverstone.

FYI, if we ran this system using the Season 12 constructor points earnt, and the proposed S13 GPGCL schedule, standings would have looked like this after the round robin 11 weeks, with the top 4 moving onto the finals.

And, once in Finals mode, the outcome would have been as follows....

In finals, essentially it is this simple :
FINAL 5
Round 12 - Spa 1st Semi (Match A) 3 v 4
Round 12 - Spa 2nd Semi (Match B) 1 x 2

Round 13 - Estoril Prelim (Match C) Winner A v Loser B

Round 14 - Silverstone FINAL (Match D) Winner B v Winner C

SO, the question for the masses is, does anyone truly care about having this sideshow running? I am happy to do it, it is pretty straight forward and easy to do.....IF people want it, that is ;)

The one you currently have in your sig is zmodeler, just as example.

With zmodeler you don't have the effects (gloss, shading, lights). And the tyres are the 2D version.

@Glen
semifinals normally should be 1-4, 2-3
I don't get the point of the prelim finals at all

why not semifinals R12, P3 R13, finale R14?

There are naturally many ways to run a finals campaign. Google gives endless systems.
Due to just 14 races in the GPGSL season, the entire schedule is compromised, based around every team playing each other once (11 races) and then squeezing in a finals campaign. The use of a top 4 is a deliberate plan, due to just the 3 weeks remaining in the season. Obviously any format can be used to determine a champion team.
The method laid out currently, has been used in football leagues here in Australia, and i like it. Gives the higher ranked 2 teams a second chance of overall success, if they fail in the first week. A second chance playoff gives the potential to still have the top two performed teams in the final - which would then pose the question, why not just have the top 2 playoff, and be done with it??!!!

I actually think a better system of finals over the race #12-14 would be using a top 6 qualify for finals, with the following :
Elimination finals, 3 v 6 and 4 v 5
Semi Finals 1 v lowest ranked EF winner, 2 v highest ranked EF winner
Final - Winners of both Semi Finals.

All in the name of fun, and absolutely no bearing on the actual GPGSL championship, remember :)
I am going to think about it over the next week or so whilst sitting on a warm sandy beach whilst on holidays. Will announce a final decision by end of August.

Someone in the team launch thread suggested I change the colour of AMR's cars because it clashed with a potential MAC colour scheme. I made the point, that I should not be dictated to as to which colour my cars should be. It would be hypocritical of me to do the same.

The yellow for MAC was my preferred choice because of what other colour schemes where on the grid.

While I do love the green MAC design, the yellow one will enable us to stand out in screenshots throughout the year.

So, if the perfs are actually fine to go (still waiting on a reply on that...), we would already have quali and race done. If not, I now at least know my recording settings are fine.

That would be nice, also the rookies may lose interest if we take too long to start the season

Race Driver's perfs are good to go, Tester's perfs need addition of Giovanna Michail to AMR, else that should be ok as well.
