I also make my historical mod f1 1993, only for the game factor 2.

Sorry guys, I inform you that I won't release the Mod yet, despite the fact that I should have done it today.
The fact is that Kerley has finally contacted me and we are deciding whether and how we will publish the Mod.

We will let you know as soon as possible!

Hi MSchumi

I downloaded your 1993 mod from GP4 Central and have been playing it for 2 days straight! I agree with your original post when you say that it is one of your best works.

I love all of your mods. There is something about them that makes the whole experience - from graphics to handling - feel just right. But I have to say that this mod is the daddy!

It is as close to driving a Benetton b193 that I will ever get and I just want to say thanks.

You're wrong, that mod is not mine but of TomMK of GP4Central.
My version is still on standby until Kerley gives the green light to the release.

Hey MSchumi

What a great mod. Thank you for all your hard work and persistence. Its very much appreciated.

I haven't had the chance to get into the mod yet but, given the high quality of all your stuff I am sure it will be worth the wait.

I don't mean to be greedy but are you working on a 1990 mod by any chance?

Thank you for appreciation!
Regarding 1990 for now nothing, because for the material I would use I would not be allowed to publish it. Sorry.

Hey MSchumi

I have been playing for a few days now and I love the mod - thanks again.

I am wondering if there is any simple way to remove the steering wheel when in cockpit view. I race with a wheel (a good old Logitech g27) and I think it may add to the authenticity if I don't see the wheel in cockpit view. Of course with the mods from later years the steering wheel has vital information so you would want to see it, but for the mods for the predigital period the onscreen wheel doesn't do anything but show much you are turning and my real world wheel is showing me that.

So that's my problem and I would like to know if there is any way to fix it.

Thanks

I do not think there is a way to remove the steering wheel.
If you are interested, there is a way to block it:
Go to Tweaker folder of the mod; open "gp4tweak.ini"; search the string "CptSteerLock = 0 ; set to 1 to enable cockpit steerwheel rotation locking tweak" and set to 1.

I noticed that the rimbolt texture has a white alpha layer, could you replace it with the correct one from the -94 mod?

Hello

I have edited the tex-files, it should work by replacing the original files called "steering_wheel_centrex.tex" and "steering_wheel_ends.tex" in the folder
...\GPSAVES\Carsets\F1 1993 by MSchumi24\Data\Cockpit\Cockpit
by the edited files you'll find in the link below:
1993 mod - no steering wheel (Download)

Make sure to keep a copy of the original files!

result:

Hope it helps.
